We had the good fortune of connecting with April Wetzel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi April, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Good things come to those who wait” is a piece of conventional advice I would definitely disagree with. I believe that good things come to those who go out and get it. The hustle yields the reward!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I specialize in lived-in color, dimensional color, and balayage. I absolutely love what I do. I am energized with the goal of mastering my craft and learning as much as possible. I am a lover of education and constantly push myself to excel. I get excited when I can offer new techniques to my clients. I consider the color I do to be high-end while remaining low-maintenance. At the end of the day I’m in the business of making people feel good! And what doesn’t feel better than amazing hair? 😉

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my husband, Michael. He has supported every move along the way!
