We had the good fortune of connecting with Aron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aron, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Colorado, born and raised single mom along with my grandparents who played a significant role in my upbringing. We didn’t grow up with much money but I grew up in a house filled with love. Like any young mom my mom was learning as she was raising me, so I spent a majority of my time with my grandparents. Fast forward to the age of 13 I lost both of my grandparents within 12 days of each other. My whole life changed from that moment, I went from feeling love to a house filled with turmoil and abuse. I lost myself I turned to the streets, started gang banging got into more trouble than people could imagine. I was filled with so much anger, hopelessness, and really I didn’t care about anything. The abuse, the pain of losing the two people who meant the most changed me. I was arrested by the cops at least 10 times, doing drugs, anything to escape reality. I was either going to die or spend my life in prison. Age 19 I find out I’m going to be a dad and something changed completely I remembered who I was and how my grandparents raised me. I changed my life to be the best dad I could be as a young man. There’s many more layers but that’s a good insight

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So two parts I’m an operations supervisor for a medical office. High school dropout, I do have my GED but I worked my way up from the bottom. Perseverance, dedication, a drive to be the best I can every day and I’d like to believe I’m a success story coming from where I came from.

Second creating a non profit that empowers, mentors and helps the youth find themselves knowing that they all have something special and with a little guidance we can help them see it and get there. We believe in them all it takes in life sometimes is that one person who says “I believe in you”.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well the mountains are my peace so I’d take them on a hike there’s nothing quite like the freeness and calmness from being in nature. It’s good for the soul, then I’d take them to get some Mexican food in the city Denver has some of the best spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Faith pulled me through first and foremost, if it weren’t for that I don’t know where I’d be. My grandparents they made me who I am to the core, my mom she never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself.
