Meet Arthur Imemelo | Talent agent, songwriter & Philanthropist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arthur Imemelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arthur, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My original plan was to build something my family could use to push their artistic work further than just local influence. I started New Era Musik after noticing I had a bunch of guys making music but no one really had a direction or a visitions for what’s next. The music industry is a very treacherous path I’ve seen many great artist go silent over labels twisted contracts and I was determined to help as many as I can from being low balled or wrapped into contracts they didn’t understand.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a talent management agency based out of Denver, Colorado. We visit different cities looking for the next big artist you’ll see at open mics , showcases etc… once we find a candidate we truly believe in we’d send you a meeting invite Where we’d go over how you as an artist could benefit by working with us. So to those reading we find you you don’t find us. And what really sets us apart is there’s no one out there like us we do charge our clients for our services but for many we don’t take any royalties from Music and performances like other do we’re not in it for the money it’s about seeing this city flourish. Many people have ideas of starting a business but never go for it so its no surprise my most proud moment was when I actually signed all the paperwork to legalize NEM. And I tell you this road was anything but easy, there hacks and cheats to the music industry but the ones who have it keep it to themselves or whiting their own circle so it was hard starting out I mama it still is but I had to find ways to word my emails, the way I leave my voicemails , how I network all strategies I have at my disposal we’re solely created by me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For food my list will consist of Chubbies on 38th, likes red taco , blue agave grill, saucy southern , machetes , TK surf and turf or I’d call the celebrity chef Questa.

Night life we’d start with the free bars gin mill, bee hall, view house, purple martini , sip lounge.

For attractions : movies, Clifford still museum , selfie museum , meow wolf, any Denver sport games as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d liked to give a shout-out to the people whoalways believed in me no matter I’ve lost a lot of folks on this journey to success and they say “ those who are gone weren’t meant to say” that’s what I try to live by everyday. Shout out my boys summer knights major leek , stylish Goldiee, Abdi noor the list goes ok without these guys my head wouldn’t be able to remain in one place and focused and for that I’m very thankful to my boys. Huge shout out to my moms and my sister for always going witj whatever I plan to do in life as long as I’m happy that’s all that matters and last but not least I’d like to thank GOD for this life it has its ups and downs but the lord and I always been good .
