Meet Ashley Duran | Model and Cocktail Server

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Duran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is never giving up. Everyday is a new day to start and continue to grow. No matter what challenges I face, I know not to give up and keep continuing to move forward. Because of the early challenges I had to face in life, it taught me how strong I am and nothing can hold me back.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others, I can say is my drive and passion in anything I do. I always try to learn and be the best version of myself. Once I put my mind on something, I am very determined to achieve in whatever it is. I am proud of a lot of the accomplishments I have made in my life. It definitely wasn’t easy, losing my mom at eighteen changed my whole world and help taking care of my little sister at the time was extremely difficult. While trying to work on myself, I knew I had to “just keep swimming” as Dory says in the movie Finding Nemo. The way I overcame these challenges was by not giving up. Even at my weakest moment, there is something within me that refuses to give up. Life has taught me a lot of lessons. The one thing however I learned was to never let anyone bring you down. I want the world to know and learn that no matter how hard life can get, just keep fighting and enjoy each moment. Life is precious, you never know when it can be your last day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For my bestie who knows me, I am all about the vibe of a spot. I love trying new places as long as there is good music, beautiful views, and great vibes. If you had to find me, it would definitely be a place of live music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my friends and family for supporting me on this journey. As I surround myself with people who want to see me grow and cheer me on even through the bad days really makes a difference in my life. There are many many books that have helped me continue to succeed, but I always try to read anything that has a positive story or motivational message. The more I read and listen to influential stories, makes me want to succeed even more.
