We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is having the mindset of a go getter. I’ve grown to understand that in order to become successful, you have to be willing to do the things that others are 1. Either too lazy to do or 2. Just not willing to do for their clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
l offer my clients a luxe picnic experience or micro event with an amazing view of the Rocky Mountains. They experience a luxe setting with either breakfast, lunch or dinner charcuterie in a uniquely chosen beautiful scenic area showing off the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains. This picnic experience is like non other because it allows the guest to experience amazing secret picnic locations within the touristy areas of the Colorado Springs, with a luxurious touch. I take pride in being willing to hike the highest mountain just to make sure our client experiences Colorado the way it should be.
My proudest moments happen when I am standing in the midst of a client proposing and just being grateful that I was chosen to orchestrate such a life changing event.

Having a successful business doesn’t happen overnight. And no it’s not easy, so what I’ve made sure to understand is that nothing in life is waisted. There’s opportunities everywhere and we have to position ourselves to be ready. Yes, failure happens but Failure is important. How else will you grow? Failure has been one of the harshest lessons that I’ve had to learn. Im a perfectionist and in the event planning industry, nothing ever goes perfectly so my perfectionism gets thrown out the window quickly.
I want my potential clients to know that Picnic on the Rocks will go to any lengths to make sure their luxury picnic is everything they envisioned.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My amazing, supportive husband and 4 Children. They push me to keep going and also show me the endless possibilities I have before me.
