Meet Bec Koop | Soul-prenuer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bec Koop and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bec, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My perspective on work-life balance has evolved significantly as I’ve grown older and wiser. In my younger years, it was normal for me to juggle multiple jobs and work 80–90 hours a week. Back then, the idea of work-life balance felt almost comical. Today, I place far greater importance on it, understanding that it is essential not only for truly enjoying my time off but also for preventing burnout.
I’ve learned that setting clear boundaries and firm cut-off times for work—something that can be especially challenging for entrepreneurs—allows me to fully value and appreciate my downtime, whether it’s a vacation or simply the moments after clocking out. While there is always more work to be done, these boundaries have helped me become more focused and efficient during working hours, which makes the time I spend outside of work all the more fulfilling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It is an honor to work with my clients and walk alongside them as they rediscover themselves. I deeply understand the feeling of being lost, of wanting to give up—even facing near-death experiences from various accidents. I remember how difficult it was to pick up the pieces.
My story is one of resilience: overcoming significant challenges, facing physical limitations after major injuries, and surpassing obstacles that once felt insurmountable. Through courage, confidence, perseverance, tenacity, and an openness to learning from my mistakes—while never being afraid to ask questions—I’ve been able to overcome what many might have deemed impossible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were to visit me back when I lived in Colorado, I would make sure to give them a true taste of the area. We’d start the day at a cozy local coffee shop to get energized before heading to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to walk the iconic steps and take in the stunning scenery.
From there, I’d drive us up to the charming town of Evergreen, where we’d enjoy lunch with a view from the dock at the Evergreen Lake House. Afterward, we’d head back to the city to explore the Goddess Metaphysical Shop and pick up some fun, soulful treasures. We’d wrap up the day with a delicious meal—either comforting pho or fresh poke—before diving into an evening adventure at Meow Wolf for a truly unforgettable experience!
If they were to come visit me now in Michigan, we would have to take a trip to Lake Michigan of course followed by some delicious wine tasting at St. Julians in Paw Paw, followed with fruit picking at a local orchard with in season fruit and then end the day with a kayak ride at sunset after picking flowers from a local farmer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For the past decade, I have had the honor of working personally, professionally, and spiritually with one of the kindest souls I know: Wendy Bradshaw. She has been a guiding light throughout my journey—supporting me as I started and closed multiple businesses, navigated the healing process after a divorce, and again after leaving a long-term relationship and toxic friendships. Wendy has helped me recognize my worth, embrace my value, and awaken my spiritual gifts so I could better serve both myself and my community.
I am endlessly grateful that our paths first crossed in the small mountain town of Fairplay, Colorado. Since then, our connection has blossomed into a beautiful partnership, taking us to Tulum, Mexico, and deep into the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to host soul-nourishing women’s retreats together. Wendy is more than a friend; she will forever be my beloved SiStar.
