We had the good fortune of connecting with Becca Cantrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Becca, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My work/life balance has been something I’ve grown into. At first, didn’t understand how important it was for my business, life, and everything I do. I struggled for the longest time with allowing one part of my life to take over. I’ve found that when I find balance and allow myself to rest and take time for myself and my family, I thrive in all areas of life. I don’t feel drained or burnt out and lose passion for the things that I love to do. I still struggle sometimes with finding that balance, but I feel like that’s life– It’s forever a time of growing and learning. You can’t pour into others from an empty cup.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our art is set apart by how we uniquely try to capture every single person, giving them memories to last a lifetime. It hasn’t always been easy, there have been tons of hills that we’ve had to climb. Diving into education, learning from others, and focusing on why we do this for our clients have been some of the things that helped us grow. We try to approach each job with the intention to care for our clients and others as best as we possibly can.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wichita has become a little piece of home. It’s packed with great food options, parks, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine. Fall becomes absolutely gorgeous and the colors are jaw-dropping. The Belmont and Sabor downtown are two places we would absolutely have to hit up for some delicious food. Leslie’s and Reverie coffee are a must as well. College Hill is full of small locally owned shops that have the sweetest owners and cutest things to buy. I feel like there is so much more to see, but I absolutely love showing off the serene side of the town I call home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my husband and business partner, Jacob. I could shout out so many people who have helped me along this journey, but I wanted to give him some love! He has always pushed me to be better and encouraged me along the way. He is my steady advice and my source of comfort when life gets hard. Jacob has reshaped the way I think about my business, clients, and caring for others while serving their needs. I feel like that has been the most important thing we have focused on in our business, the way we try to strive to care for others.
