Meet Brady Pitt | Chef/Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brady Pitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brady, what role has risk played in your life or career?
No risk, no reward!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pescado started as a small sushi bar crammed into the back of a Mexican restaurant/night club. As the years have rolled by Pescado as evolved into a 4o seat restaurant and sushi bar. Being in a ski town you have to be flexible, along with the restaurant we offer private chef services and can cater parties from 1 to 1000. We offer omakase with Japanese whiskey pairing, the best Sunday brunch you ever had or your daughters dream wedding. When we say we can do just about anything we truly mean it. Lots of hard work, lots of hustle lots of determination to prove people wrong who told you, you would never make it.
Learn from other peoples mistakes that way you don’t have to make the same ones. Sometimes you think life sucks but really it’s not that bad
If it were easy, everybody would be doing it, maybe I am just a glutton for punishment. Nothing brings me more happiness than watching a guest take that first bite and seeing the joy that overcomes their face. From a job well done .
When I eat out, weather it’s at a friends house or at the best French restaurant in the country, all I am looking for is good company, great food and an experience to remember and that is what you will find at Pescado in Telluride
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Telluride is a pretty small town nestled in a box canyon, with the nearest stoplight 30 miles away. In the wintertime skiing is king, it’s what brought me to Telluride in the first place. In the summertime there are festivals galore stretching from memorial to Labor Day ranging from film, music, sporting events, and the greatest July 4, you could imagine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom and my dad for they made me who I am today and they instilled the values that I strive for today.
