We had the good fortune of connecting with Brennen and Lauren Salz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brennen and Lauren, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Brennen and I chose to go into business together just months into their marriage, at just 26- and 25-years-old, respectively. Over the last three years, we have learned to communicate vulnerably, trust completely, and serve wholeheartedly by pressing into each other’s unique strengths.
Brennen excels in the technical work – contract negotiations and having tough conversations. Brennen fights for our clients with sincere care and great persistence. In addition, his extensive digital marketing experience has helped us stand apart, particularly when it comes to marketing ourselves and our clients’ listings.
I, on the other hand, live in emotion. I thrive in nurturing client relationships and producing engaging content. My deeply rooted empathy has allowed us to develop meaningful, lasting connecting with our clients. My writing and design skills have helped us cultivate a strong social media presence and online community.
Without one another, we believe that our service, our business – or both – might suffer. Brennen and I believe that’s what sets us apart from other agents and other teams: our laser-focused commitment to aligning our duties with their personal gifts. This allows us to not only double the hours in a day, but also provide comprehensive, well-rounded service to our clients.
What should our readers know about your business?
We’re a husband and wife home buying, selling, and styling team based in Northern Colorado. We’re both 2nd generation agents, CO natives, and proud CSU alumni.
Entrepreneurship has pulled out the best in us and has also brought us to our knees. We have felt powerful and determined; we have felt hopeless and defeated. To better hone our focus and to keep our spirits high, we have implemented steadfast boundaries. What we’ve learned, though, is that the idea of “balance” is a complete farce. Some days, we’re required to sit behind the computer for 14 hours. Other days, we have the freedom to take an extra-long lunch or enjoy a round of golf.
Our biggest motivation is our mutual desire to be of exceptional, tireless service – service to our clients, service to our community, and service to our family. As REALTORS, our clients’ greatest, most expensive financial transaction depends on our ability to mentor, guide, and advise – which we define by commitment to serve with utmost transparency, deep empathy, and a healthy sense of humor.
We believe that by tapping into and fanning our God-given gifts, we serve our community in a way that is unique to our talents and experience – a calling that requires fearless devotion to accepting failure, learning by trial and error, and a whole lot of grace.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love showing off our beloved Northern Colorado! If you were to hang with us for a few days, we’d first introduce you to the beauty of Horsetooth Reservoir by renting a pontoon boat, packing a cooler full of New Belgium ales and Obee’s sandwiches, and spending the afternoon floating in the water. We’d also love for you to try some of our favorite NoCo eats. Gib’s NY Bagels and Silver Grill are our favorite breakfast joints, while Union, Hearth, and Door 222 are some of our favorite lunch or dinner options. To top off our night on the town, we’d swing by Social for a drink and a stroll around beautiful Old Town!
