We had the good fortune of connecting with Bri Dimit and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bri, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic career because it was and is my calling. It is why I was put here on this earth and the older I get, the more clear that becomes.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a portal to what’s possible when you lean in to what brings you joy and as a result, transform life’s challenges into celebrations through music, speaking, and storytelling.
As an Artist and performer I invoke joy and confidence when I’m on stage. My personal songs are a result of deep introspection and are rooted in the life lessons I’ve learned along the way (with a sprinkle of sass). I have been working diligently on a brand new album that will be released this summer. If you’re interested in learning more about the inspiration behind the album and watching some behind the scenes follow me on instagram or go to my website at www.bridimit.com.
As a Keynote Speaker + Storyteller I use the stage to empower change and transformation by sharing my own stories of navigating adversity. From my experiences with epilepsy, grief and loss, and responding to pain I’ve learned that anything is possible when you move through life believing in yourself and I am passionate about supporting others in building systems and strategies that set them up for success too.
I am passionate about continuing to use my music, speaking, and storytelling as opportunities to impact the world in a positive and profound way and believe my upcoming album is a direct result of just that. So stay tuned!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Great question. I feel like I am still exploring Denver but immediately I would take them to Red Rocks. I know that is technically in Morrison but it is a short drive from Denver and I just recently went for the first time myself and wow, what a magical place. I would then schedule a day at The Beer Spa to decompress from travel as that has been one of the most relaxing and unique experiences I’ve had in Denver. As far as food and drinks go, I would give them options from Perdida, Hillstone, Cretans, Lo Stella’s, Ototo, Sushi Den, Death & Co, Kini’s, North Italia, Devil’s Food Bakery, Toro, Ny Tuyo, Narrative, or The Green Collective Eatery. We would add some hiking to our agenda and maybe check out some hot springs and at some point throughout the week I would indulge them in a Wash Park sunset as that is a view that never gets old and a stroll around the park is so beautiful.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I love this. Yes, I have so many folks I would highlight that have been vital in my success and are more than deserving of a shoutout. For the sake of time, I will just name a few.
First would be my husband, Jordan. He has believed in my vision since day one and has showed up in more ways than I can count.
I owe so much of my energetic and spiritual growth to my soul friend Jacqueline Martinez. She is not only my best friend but an inspiring example of what is possible when you become the leader of your life and her ability to see my highest potential has been a profound gift in my journey as an artist. Having someone like her in your corner is a power move.
Lynn Viater has been a lighthouse of love and support since I was a young teen and I hold a great amount of gratitude for all the times she has and continues to give that unconditional love to me and my family.
My mom set the example of what love can do and never doubted my ability to pursue my wildest dreams. The thirteen years spent with her were vital in developing the positive self talk and belief systems that I hold with me today.
And last but not least, I am pulling a Snoop Dogg move and thanking myself. At the end of the day we are our greatest fan and what we tell ourselves, how we treat ourselves, the growth and risks we decide to pursue, the accountability we decide to take, and the decisions we decide to make are what bring in the right folks to support us in executing our dreams. So I am thankful for myself, too.
I want to reiterate, there are so many other folks and support systems I am privileged to have in my life that I hold immense gratitude for as well and I thank each and every one of you who has supported me in any way. I wouldn’t be here without you, so thank you.
