Meet Bri Witherow | Owner & Operator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bri Witherow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bri, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a creative individual with a passion for the arts, I have a particular affinity for crafting specialty goods. I established 3 Moons Market as an avenue to share my love for handcrafted artisanal products with the local community. My product range includes an array of moisturizing balms, soothing oils, invigorating soaps, and unique candles, all carefully created with a focus on selecting and transforming simple yet high-quality ingredients. My dedication to both wellness and environmental sustainability is reflected in every product I offer.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started my business a few years ago with a main focus on personal wellness items, such as muscle salves, soaps, and lip balms. While I still offer a small line of wellness products, my passion has shifted towards crafting high-quality candles. I use only the best ingredients, including all-natural soy wax, crackling wooden wicks, and fragrances made in the USA. Personally formulating each scent adds a special touch to my candles, ensuring a level of attention to detail that sets them apart.
It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, though. I’ve had my fair share of mishaps, like candles that wouldn’t stay lit in the beginning (embarrassing, I know!). But over the years, I’ve learned and grown from those experiences, and now I feel like I’ve truly honed in on the craft. By the way, did you know that a candle maker is known as a Chandler?
If you’re considering starting your own artistic business but feel hesitant, I encourage you to take the plunge. It may seem scary, but if you do what you love at your own pace, success will come in time. So go for it!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I absolutely love the food and drink scene in Denver and the surrounding areas! Next to arts and crafts, food is my biggest passion. I’ll even admit to being a bit of an obnoxious foodie – the kind of person who always takes a picture before digging in. I enjoy seeking out food trucks, discovering highly-rated restaurants, and trying new and upcoming chefs. Right now, some of our favorite food trucks include Yuan Wonton, Kike’s Red Tacos, & Mukja – make sure to seek them out, you won’t regret it!
Whenever our friends come to town, we always make sure to hit up some of our favorite spots. For a hearty and filling brunch, we head over to One Fold; for some of Jose’s exquisite tacos and mezcal, we go to La Diabla; for AhhMazing hand rolls, we can’t resist Temaki Den; for a carb-filled happy hour, we always stop by Dio Mio; and for the perfect Daisy pie, we have to go to Cart Driver. And finally, for a world-class wine slushy, we head to Barrels & Bottles in Golden – it’s an absolute must-try!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband has been an essential part of my success, as his unwavering support has played a crucial role in the development & growth of 3 Moons Market. He has been instrumental in building and maintaining our website, and his dedication to our popup events is truly invaluable. Whenever I am faced with indecision about our product range or scents, he is always there to lend a listening ear and offer advice. I am grateful to have such a selfless and supportive partner, whose contributions have been so very crucial to the success of my little business!
