We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Weiss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I watched my parents and the stress they had after getting off work of working behind a computer all day and thought, “I hope I don’t end up like that someday”. And the idea of supporting small business grew huge on the internet at that time and I decided that that was something that I would like to do!

What should our readers know about your business?
The importance difference between my body care business and others like mine is that I strive to make my business 100% eco-friendly. I decided on that idea when I first began selling because I want to make an effort to reduce my single-use plastic use. I got to where I am today because I kept striving to grow my business and persevering in my dream. It definitely has not been the easiest thing (starting a business), as there are days where I have wanted to quit and feeling down after making slow progress. I’ve learned that it’s best to keep going, and keep pushing through even the days when I am not seeing as much progress as I want. The business name was inspired by my love for bees, and caring for animals. It reciprocated the idea of loving nature, bees, and the environment. Our products are not only eco-friendly, but also vegan and cruelty free as well! 🙂

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live closer to Longmont, but my favorite place to visit in Colorado is Estes Park. It’s always such a fun place to visit and shop, plus the small ice cream businesses in Estes are delightful ;). In Longmont, I like to shop on Main Street sometimes and check out all the fun small businesses located there. One of my favorites is Crystal Joys. For food, I love to enjoy a meal at The Pumphouse Brewery, also on Main Street, because their food is amazing! The Denver Museum of Nature and Science and The Denver Zoo are also super fun places to visit when I want to go South and have a fun day!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom and my boyfriend have been super supportive with helping me with creating product, allowing me the space and time to work for my small business, and just being in my corner whenever I needed assistance.
