We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Steinman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I’m always working on something other than my 9-5 job. I had worked in the restaurant/bar industry for 14 years before I quit bartending and got an office job. I knew this type of job wasn’t for me to begin with. After the newness of the job wore off, I realized even more that an office isn’t for me. I wanted to get back into bartending without the schedule. I had the idea of private bartending on my mind for years. When it came time to make a move, I knew it would be event bartending. The creativity of it all, the planning, and making the customer feel good, is what excites me.

What should our readers know about your business?
Luna is a mobile bartending service. We serve from a restored 1977 horse trailer. What sets us apart from others is that Luna has 3 service well and a two-tap draft beer system inside the trailer. We can serve small parties and up to 300 guests from the trailer. Most trailer bars have just one bar on one side of the trailer. I wanted Luna to be different. I’m proud of the work we have done on the trailer and the quality service we provide. Being that 2022 is our first real wedding/event season, I’m proud of the number of events we have booked. I don’t want to say that it’s been easy. But, it has felt easy to me because I enjoy this job so much that even the hard work doesn’t feel overwhelming, it feels exciting! I haven’t always been perfect at the paperwork side of doing business. I would say that’s my least favorite part of running a business. However, I have strengthened my skills in that area and feel more confident keeping organized records. Luna represents a lot of who I am. I am moon baby, I look to the moon in awe, I feel its magic. Luna has that same magical vibe and spirit. I posted this quote in March of 2020 that set the tone for my brand. It’s about me and it’s about becoming a badass business person. “The Goddess doesn’t enter us from outside; she emerges from deep within. She is not held back by what happened in the past. She is conceived in consciousness, born in love, and nurtured by higher thinking. She is integrity and value, created and sustained by the hard work of personal growth and the discipline of a life lived actively in hope.” ~ Marianne Williamson. Luna as a brand is a vibe I want to feel every day.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Okay, this is fun! We would definitely go to Rino to visit the art district. Walk around and look at the murals. While there we would visit the Denver Central Market. You can find the best, food, drinks, treats, and coffee there. We would also have to stop at Los Chingones in Rino for some tacos & margaritas. Yum! It’s definitely baseball season on this trip so we would visit Denver Chop House before heading out to a Rockies game. Overpriced drinks just taste so much better while watching baseball. I love the Museum of Nature and Science. I’m the one who reads everything at a museum so going with me is kinda annoying. I can stay there all day! Red Rocks is a must-see for all out of town guests. Again, I’ll be reading everything and looking for who played at Red Rocks the year I was born. Being able to see a concert is even better! One of my favorite things to do is hit Blue Sushi on 16th street for happy hour, then go to Union Station for a drink & shuffleboard at Terminal Bar, then end the night at Seven Grand for an old fashioned. Little Man Ice Cream is something everybody needs to experience. They sometimes have Salted Cookies & Cream and it’s magical! We would for sure go to Estes Park to visit RMNP, The Stanley Hotel, and hike to Gem Lake. After the hike having lunch at Ed’s Cantina is a must! Although in Colorado Springs, we would visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. They actually have really great food there! I would save my appetite for fish & chips at The Golden Bee at The Broadmoor. I could honestly, go on and on about my favorite restaurants but I think you get it.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Casey deserves all the shoutouts! He is a highly skilled and highly intelligent welder/fabricator. He can build anything that can be thought up. Check out his Instagram,@1590 weld to see what I’m talking about. Casey has always encouraged me to peruse what makes me happy. When it came to buying and converting our 1977 horse trailer into a mobile bar service, he didn’t hesitate at all. He did 99% of the work on Luna, he comes with me to every event, and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without his support and encouragement. Even with the trailer being done, I still lean on him to bounce ideas off of and make decisions. He’s literally the best!
