We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooklyn Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooklyn, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My balance has changed overtime by really planning everything out, it took me some time to actually sit down and list what is the most important to the least. I often think balance reflects on you, and your lifestyle. You can have everything planned out, but if you don’t follow the plan it will not work out. Balancing between work, school, chores, etc can truly be a challenge, and it takes some time to getting used too but I think everyone can do it. We all have the same 24 hours in a day as everyone else.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career is a little all over the place, I work a part time retail job and I also sometimes help my dad and grandpa out with their construction company. It can get challenging between the two while still running my business. It’s a funny story because my business was actually my best friends, and I was helping her out with things on the side when she needed it. She got super busy with life that I just took it over, and Ive absolutely loved every single bit of running it. It was challenging to keep it up and running, but we’re still going and I’m very proud of myself for that.
If the world just knew one thing about my brand and I, it would be that I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for hard work and lots of determination. I think we all have it deep down in us, and we just have to find what we need for it to truly excellarate the passion.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Devils backbone is not too far away from my hometown, and I like to visit often. It’s gorgeous when the sun hits the rocks, and it’s overall just a gorgeous setting. It’s an open place where you can breathe, and just feel at peace. If you’re visiting the Northern-Colorado area, I would definitely recommend getting pizza at The Pizza Casbah in Fort Collins, Colorado. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had, and I will continue to go back there every single time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best friend Shae Smith, has been a true impact on my life. She may be 3 years younger than I am, but she really has pushed me to be the best I possibly can for years. We pretty much grew up together and she’s been the sister I’ve never had, she helps me out with everything and is just truly an amazing friend. We have our moments but we I mean what great friendship doesn’t? She is the bestest friend I can possibly ask for and I am so grateful that God put her in my life.
