Meet Brynna Wilson | Financial Advisor & Money Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brynna Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brynna, how does your business help the community?
There is a common instrument that ties everyone on the planet together in modern day and it is also the instrument that most people avoid, have fears about, don’t agree on, and even use to create divide between other people. That instrument is a simple piece of paper or small metal piece, money. Money makes the world go around these days. You can love it, hate it, want it, avoid it, fear it, blame it, obsess over it, create joy with it, relax with it…. any emotion can be felt through money. This is a huge reason why I have found my purpose in life through my business. As a financial advisor and money coach, I can help people bridge the gap between the logical and psychological when it comes to money. By helping people, especially people in marginalized communities, have a better understanding and more positive feelings when it comes to money, we can then have a world where people use money to help rather than hurt. We can lift the overall mood about money and can use it for “good” rather than for “evil”. When people not only have more money, but a better relationship with money, they can have more capacity to then use their time, energy, and money to help others. We can be less attached as a society to creating divides and create community, collaboration, and positivity. Everyone wants and deserves to have their basic needs met like food, shelter, safety, being seen and heard, loved, and have a choice in the paths that they want to make. We can use money to help out those people that have not historically had the opportunities that they may have not had before. Starting small, by using my business to help one individual, one small business owner, one family at a time, I hope to create a community of people that lift themselves that then turn to lift others as well.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Citrine & Gold, we love focusing on the behavioral finance area of finance. We want our clients to feel excited when it comes to talking about money, their money, and their relationship with money. Being a women and LGBTQ+ owned business, I believe we can really understand where those communities have felt unheard in the past and can help create strategies that really speak to how we live our lives. I am so excited about creating a community of badass, wealthy people who help lift up others and create a better world. I want myself and my brand to have an impact in how we look at finances, authenticity, and support to live our best lives.
I have always wanted to be a business owner and while it has not been easy, it’s absolutely been worth it. The hardest part about it has been to just develop a confidence in myself that is unshaken. We all make mistakes and don’t know everything, but it’s been important to be sure to have the confidence and grit that I can figure it out, come back from my mistakes, and move forward. As I said before, without the support system I have built, I would not be where I am today. It has been integral to my growth as a business to grow as a person. It’s hard to grow without others support and even constructive criticism at times.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoy the RiNo area with all the activities and restaurants that pop up. I also highly recommend a couple of places off Colorado Blvd and 9th such as Frank & Roze for coffee and La Fillette for amazing baked goods. When I have friends in town for a week, we usually head up to the mountains for some camping and hiking. I lived in Vail for many years so that area is a usual go to since I know it really well. We also really enjoy any hot springs so we like to travel to those when we can.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have helped me on my path to success and purpose that it’s hard to choose just one. I truly believe, that no one can get what they want in their life without the help of others and I have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of many peoples support, advice, and help. If you have given me anything from being a client, friend, mentor, coach, listening ear or anything… THANK YOU! I hope you know who you are.
