We had the good fortune of connecting with Cade Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cade, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
There is a saying that keeps me going: “No Risk, No Story…”

When it comes to any aspect of my life, there will always be some element of risk involved, and this is something you must become comfortable with whether. Whether it’s starting your own business, posting on social media, or jumping into the modeling industry, there will always be some type of risk.

However, when there’s risk, that means there’s stakes involved. If you are able to take the risk, learn from your mistakes, and bet on yourself, there is absolutely no telling what could happen.

No one ever did anything great by being cautious.

One of the biggest risks I took was accepting a 2-month modeling contract in Istanbul, Turkey on a 2-day notice while I was in London. This forced me to jump into a brand new culture with no safety net.

It ended up being one of the most rewarding, fulfilling, and overall successful periods of my life!

I encourage everyone to take a risk, do something the scares you… you never know where it could take you!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
From my perspective, the thing that sets me apart is that I don’t know anyone who has been where I am in multiple industries. I have been extremely blessed and fortunate with the opportunities I have been given, I just have not met another individual on the same path.

This allows me to pave the way for others, and I do believe that is what makes my modeling/social media career different from anyone else’s. I recently completed a modeling contract in Turkey, a campaign for Calvin Klein, Playboy, and YSL Beauty, as well as being published 2 of the 3 biggest fashion magazines in the world (Harper’s Bazaar and L’Officiel).

I also have been fortunate to see success with my books, writing 2 Amazon Best-Sellers.

I truly love helping others, and building a social media platform for myself has allowed me to reach 100’s of thousands of people a month and my goal is to inspire each of the m to pursue their goals.

It most certainly was not easy, I had to (and still have to) deal with so much rejection, and this can begin to weigh on an individual. That is why I believe it is so important not to take anything personally, because there’s always something else.

I overcame these challenges by learning how to be confident in myself, and trust that I am on the correct path and the right doors will open when they’re supposed to.

What I want the world to know about Cade Wood is that I want to endure the hard things so that others don’t have to. I want to be the one to carve the path for others.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In all honesty, I have been beyond blessed with some of the most incredible people, and I truly would not be where I am if it was not for them. My family offers endless support and unwavering belief in me. It may sometimes be hard for them to understand what I’m doing, where I’m traveling, and why I do a lot of the things I do, but they are always there for me.

I also have an incredibly supportive friend group, they know when to pick me up, and when to keep me grounded (as good friends should). It helps keep me ambitious and level-headed.

My agents are all over the country/world and they do so much for me, even though I can be a real pain sometimes (sorry Joey and Talia), but they are always so helpful and truly want to see me succeed!

Because of the large level of support around me, I am able to feel confident In all my endeavors because I know there will always be difficult moments, but I have a hell of a support system backing me.

I do love to read, so some helpful books are “The Four Agreements,” “48 Laws of Power,” “Emotional Intelligence,” and the Bible.

Each of these books help me grow my faith, self-awareness, become more emotionally mature, how to understand others, and the power of not taking anything personally.

And in the world of modeling, social media, and entrepreneurship, that is an extremely important skill to learn.
