We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassi Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a stay at home mom of 12+ years, I needed a hobby that I enjoyed and believed in! Mom guilt is real and I thought i needed to put all my time and energy into my children. I always started hobbies and never finished them! This year I decided i was stepping out of my comfort zone and holding myself accountable. I didn’t ask for opinions, I just did it! And i enjoy it so much! It has been so good not only for me, but my kids enjoy all the festivals!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Permanent jewelry is a niche that is becoming more popular. It’s just like any other art, we all have our own style. I’ve researched the ins and outs of the 4 US based jewelers that I purchase from and I’m confident in the product that I offer. There are multiple products used to close the chain that not every artist uses. I guarantee a smooth clean weld with what I offer! I have grown my business because of me determined attitude. It doesn’t just come to you, you have to go out and get it! I always tell my customers, I stand behind my work and will always take care of you!

Anything is possibly, and I love that my kids have witnessed that first hand. You can do anything you want with effort and determination.

The best part about this is, it doesn’t feel like work. I’m honored to be able to do something I enjoy so much.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Considering I have four kids, I don’t get out much! It would be a new adventure for us both! I would probably head to the mountains and get lost up there for the week! Summertime in the mountains sounds like a breath of fresh air!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Like I said previously, I didn’t let anyone talk me out of perusing a hobby. My husband, Andy, never questioned me, never said no, and let me roll with it! My four kids have been super flexible with the change in our schedule and have learned so much! My friends didn’t hesitate to lend me an arm or leg to practice on!
