Meet Chase Foster | Tattoo Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chase, what inspires you?
I’m most often inspired by those around me. I meet so many different walks of life and have always been fascinated with the experiences in life that make each person unique. I’m also inspired by all forms of art and nature. I’ve always looked at the world in terms of curiosity and how everything works.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my tattoo journey roughly seven years ago. It was a very difficult craft to get into and at times not the most inviting. I had a bit of a rough apprenticeship. My mentors were definitely harsh on me but it prepared me for the reality’s of tattooing and the world in general. In the end I think it made me better at my job and into a better person. I wouldn’t take it back for anything. One of the things I’ve picked up along the way is to take things slow because life will pass you by. The styles I like to do most are Neotraditional, black and grey realism, and Mandalas.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live close to the mountains so whenever I have free time I like to go with my wife and friends up towards evergreen to get away. I also love going to Boba Botánica located right next to our shop when I get a break during appointments.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents have truly believed in me in even when I wasn’t sure of my purpose. My mentors Cj Molina, Ray Jimenez, Eon Josh Eon Johnson, and Jeff Jenson, pillars in the Denver tattoo community who not only blessed me with their time and patience, but taught me to succeed and thrive. My amazing wife Marjorie Foster has been with me since the start of my journey and I cant put into words how much good she has impacted onto my life. Lastly my best friend Andy Walfred who’s kindness knows no bounds.
