We had the good fortune of connecting with Chef Ali and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chef, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When starting my business, I really didn’t have a thought process. I started it as a kind of a fun thing for my friends to be able to enjoy some of the delicious meals that I made and started posting on social media from social media I started receiving multiple inquiries from people out of state wanting to have a private chef out in the mountains in their cabin. Eventually, I started being booked out months in advance, sometimes a year in advance to cook for people in the mountains in Colorado. Being that Colorado is such a hotspot for tourist activity right now I thought why not capitalize off of it and make sure that people have a wonderful food experience as well before leaving colorful Colorado..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what I’m most excited about for my business is the fact that I built it from the ground up without any promotions without paying for social media ads I’ve always been 100% myself.. I don’t have tens of thousands of followers, but somehow, I always manage to stay booked, which is super exciting being that most people usually want somebody who is viral or some type of social media influencer. I use my product and my product only it is very rare that you will see a photo of myself or anything outside wonderful food!! In the world of social media everybody has some type of gimmick which makes it hard, keeping up with likes view views, and things of that nature. I just stay true to myself true to my recipes and true to what makes Ali Eatzz and that seems to be good enough for my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was coming out here for a week in the summertime, I would probably take her to Glenwood Springs for the weekend so we can go hike Hanging Lake which is beautiful and a must see in Colorado and visit one of Glenwood’s historic spots and catch a bite to eat before leaving going to the hot springs is a must. While driving back down to Denver have to take the scenic route and see all the sites that Colfax can offer you because why not people watch and find some cool dive bars along the way, I would have to take her to one of my personal favorite spots which would be Guard and Grace for a Filet Mignon flight and great cocktails.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really have to give my thanks to my friends and co workers at the time who turned out to be some of my biggest supporters. They were all very supportive shared my post booked me for date nights, baby showers etc… while still refining my craft, everyone was so supportive. My family has really supported me with being a full-time chef. I have a tremendous support system, which really helps with being burnt out being on the go all the time and just being a really good village When I doubt myself, they’re there to tell me that I’m the best.
