We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Freebird and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, how does your business help the community?
At its core, AgeClass was built to help brands show up at their full potential, especially founder led and growing companies that are trying to compete in crowded markets. A lot of the businesses we work with do not have in house creative teams, so we step in to provide brand design, content production, and creative direction at a level that helps them look credible and investment ready.

On a local level, that means supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses across Denver and beyond. Strong branding and storytelling can directly impact a company’s ability to secure funding, land retail placement, or expand into new markets. Being part of that growth is something I take seriously because those wins create jobs, partnerships, and momentum within the community.

I also try to contribute by sharing knowledge whenever possible. Whether it is mentoring, collaborating with other creatives, or being transparent about process and production, I believe access to information helps elevate the entire creative ecosystem rather than gatekeeping it.

Zooming out, the broader impact is about raising the creative standard. When brands invest in thoughtful design and authentic storytelling, it improves how industries communicate and connect with people. That ripple effect reaches far beyond a single project and contributes to a more intentional and visually responsible business landscape.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always approached creative work from a multidisciplinary perspective. I never saw photography, film, design, and web as separate lanes but as different ways of telling a brand’s story. That mindset eventually led to building AgeClass as a creative production company that can support brands across multiple touch points rather than just one.

What sets my work apart is being involved from concept through execution. I like understanding not just how something looks, but how it functions within the bigger picture of a brand’s growth. That allows the work to feel intentional and aligned with where the company is headed.

Getting here was not easy or linear. The early years were full of trial and error, balancing creative passion with the realities of running a business. Those challenges taught me discipline, consistency, and the importance of building real relationships with clients.

What I am most proud of today is the trust we have earned. Many projects have turned into long term partnerships, and being part of a brand’s growth journey is what makes the work meaningful. At the end of the day, AgeClass is built on collaboration and helping companies show up in the world at their full potential.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting for the first time, I would split the weekend between city energy and the outdoors since that balance is what makes Denver special to me.

We would start in RiNo. The art, murals, and creative culture there always feel inspiring, especially for someone who works in visual industries. It is a great place to grab coffee, walk the streets, and just take in the local creative pulse.

From there I would head toward downtown for food and a night out, then make sure we carved out time for the mountains. Whether it is a drive through the foothills, a hike, or even a snowboard day depending on the season, that landscape is a huge part of what fuels my creativity.

And to close out the weekend, it has to be a show at Red Rocks. There is nothing quite like seeing live music there. The setting, the sound, the energy of the crowd all come together in a way that feels unforgettable. It is one of those experiences that perfectly captures the spirit of Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I had to dedicate this shoutout to anyone, it would be our clients. The brands and founders who trust us with their vision are the reason AgeClass exists in the first place.

A lot of the companies we work with are building something from the ground up. They are investing their time, money, and belief into an idea that is not guaranteed to succeed. To be invited into that process and help shape how their brand shows up in the world is something I never take lightly.

What stands out most is the level of trust. Clients bring us into early conversations, growth pivots, product launches, and rebrands that carry real weight for their business. That trust allows us to do our best work because it becomes a partnership rather than a transaction.

I am especially grateful for the founders who value creative thinking and long term brand building over quick wins. Those relationships tend to grow beyond single projects and turn into ongoing collaborations that evolve alongside their company.

At the end of the day, any success AgeClass has had is directly tied to the people who chose to work with us, believed in the process, and allowed us to be part of their journey. This shoutout is really for them.
