Meet Christie Los | Owner @ It’s Electra Digital

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christie Los and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For me, it really came down to a choice. I could go work for another agency and risk falling into questionable practices that I have seen too often in digital marketing, or I could build something of my own, where the focus would be on education and setting the client up for long-term success. Too many agencies cut corners, hide behind jargon, or push services that are not really in the client’s best interest, and that never sat right with me.
Starting my own business gave me the chance to make this work meaningful, not just for me but for the people I serve. I get the flexibility and freedom to build a business on my terms while also creating real impact by helping clients feel empowered and confident in their marketing. It is not just about quick wins; it is about building trust, sharing knowledge, and giving small businesses the tools they need to grow in a sustainable way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is called It’s Electra Digital, and I focus on helping business owners with websites, SEO, and digital marketing in a way that is approachable and built on education. What sets me apart is that I do not believe in hiding behind jargon or quick-fix tactics. I want my clients to actually understand what we are doing and why it matters, and I also give them the support they need to grow. It is not just education; it is a hands-on partnership.
I am most proud of the impact I have been able to make for local businesses in Colorado Springs. Watching a client go from feeling stuck to feeling empowered and seeing their business grow as a result is what excites me the most. Building this business was not easy, and there were plenty of challenges. Everything from figuring out processes to balancing client work with running the business itself. What got me through was a willingness to learn as I went, lean on support, and stay focused on why I started in the first place.
The biggest lessons I have learned are that you do not need all the answers before you start, and that consistency matters more than perfection. I also learned that if you build your business around values like transparency, education, and genuine support, the right clients will find you.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that It’s Electra Digital is more than just a marketing agency. It is about helping people feel seen, supported, and capable of growing their business. I built this to be meaningful and flexible, not only for me but for the people I serve.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were coming to town for a week, I’d want them to really experience the best of Colorado Springs. We’d probably start with brunch downtown at Urban Egg or Odyssey Gastropub, then just wander Old Colorado City, pop into the shops, and check out the local art. At night, I’d take them to Coati for a mix of food stalls and drinks, or over to Red Leg Brewing for a more chill evening.
One day would be all about the views. Garden of the Gods in the morning, which never gets old, no matter how many times you go. After that, we’d grab lunch at Shuga’s because it’s quirky and delicious, and then drive over to Manitou Springs to play in the penny arcade and grab dinner somewhere like The Loop or Manitou Brewing.
We’d definitely plan a bigger adventure too, like going up Pikes Peak or riding the Cog Railway if they’re not up for mountain roads. Seven Falls and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo would also be on the list because they’re just so fun and very “Colorado Springs.”
Evenings would be a mix of breweries, cocktails at Brooklyn’s on Boulder, or catching live music at Lulu’s Downstairs or The Black Sheep. And I’d for sure take them to Hooked on Hookah one night to relax, hang out, and enjoy some shisha.
By the end of the week, they’d get the full mix: outdoors, good food, local culture, and those community spots that make the Springs feel like home.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout-out to my mom, who showed me at a young age that you can work for yourself and create your own path. Seeing her do that made me realize it was possible to build something on your own terms, and that has always stuck with me. Later on, during my teen years, my dad also ran his own company, and seeing both of my parents take that entrepreneurial route showed me the value of independence and determination from two different perspectives. I also want to recognize my sister, who supported me without question when I decided to work for myself full-time instead of returning to the job market. Her faith has bolstered my confidence, every step of the way.
I also want to thank my partner, Ramy, for supporting me in all of my endeavors. Having someone who believes in you and stands beside you makes such a difference when you are building a business.
I’m equally thankful for the friends who have cheered me on through every high and low. Their encouragement, advice, and reminders to celebrate even the small wins have been an anchor in this journey.
