We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Worth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Now Is All You Have. I used to write this on my wrist as a reminder to keep me present every day. For me this means to not procrastinate, but also to relish in each moment along the journey and not get too caught up in ideas of the past and future. Each day and in each moment we have to live the life we want to lead. For me this means making music each morning before any other work. Each day is a microcosm of our life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It’s been a long journey but I think I’ve finally logged far over my 10,000 hours on guitar, piano and singing as well as songwriting.

I didn’t sing for most of my life, and I was a people pleaser for most of this time. Developing my voice forced me to figure out who I was and what I had to say. I think our art has to be deeply tied to our own personal development and pushing the boundaries of our emotional understanding of ourselves and life.

I think what sets my music apart is the conceptual and connected nature of my 3 records. Together they form The Identity Triptych. I wrote most of the material for these while in another band and when that project ended I found myself in a place to make a concept trilogy. Each of the record deals with a different theme and mixes between songs and interlude pieces that form a sort of script. The interlude voices are sampled from a fielded question to my audience and I use their responses to write through their words.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would do a tour through some of my favorite bars and music venues in town with some stops along the way for the best food. Trip would end up at Mt. Tabor looking down over the city. Maybe we would sneak into the Shanghai Tunnels.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Jiddu Krishnamurti is one of my greatest teachers and formed a lot of how I analyze and think on my psychological patterns. He’s an absolutely amazing speaker with an incredible story.
