We had the good fortune of connecting with Cimberley Moore-Devenyns and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cimberley, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I remember as a child, I just wanted to help and always felt in the way. As I grew up,I just wanted to feel as If I contributed in some way to others. I have been blessed with the ability, now, to do that. As a Realtor, I am able to assist others realize they can purchase a home, investment etc. and have the American dream. I remember my first purchase and it was life changing. To be able to provide a home for my children and know that it was ours to paint, to improve, to create a life in, was the most amazing feeling I ever had. I want others to be able to feel that also, to create their dreams and have them come true. Also, through my real estate business I have met and am able to be a contributor to causes of some amazing local charities, such as Colton’s Heroes; whose mission is about childhood cancer awareness. I was taken by their desire to help other families, even though they have a child that went through having cancer. Their unselfishness to be there for others was amazing. I donate when I can, after closings, to their cause and my husband and I do other things like play Mr. and Mrs. Clause for their annual Christmas Party. It is such a wonderful opportunity Colton’s Heroes founders have given to myself and my family to be a part of their cause. Eagle Wing Realty is a member of the Pueblo West Chamber, where I am able to celebrate other business successes and bring awareness to the public on different issues while networking with some amazing businesses. I am also a Casa volunteer and through networking with my business I became aware of CASA.
I am so blessed to be a part of this community and be able to help others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a broker/ owner of my own real estate brokerage, I specialize in military, veterans and the first time home buyer. I love to guide my clients through the home buying process. I am also an insurance agent, so I have the knowledge of what can be a future issue and write policies for some of my clients. I remember what it was like buying my first home, as a single mom of two boys. I try my best to not be the agent that I had, I had no idea what was going onor how it all worked. I focus on my clients needs and do my best so their purchase is smooth and they know what is going to happen, what choices they have and how each can play out. I have struggled a bit in life to find my nitch and finally I have found it. I think my empathy for others and understanding of the challenges life can throw at us helps me to understand my clients a bit more and know where I can be of service. I have been through some trials in life, just like all others, but God has brought me through it, I had an auto accident that caused a permanent brain injury, an addiction to drugs and alcohol in my younger years, an abusive relationship and a horrible self esteem. Today, my business is named after a verse I found while living in a womens shelter for a few months when my children were young, this verse changed my life . It became my running verse when I could finally run again, and kept me strong through alot in life. It is now my foundation for my business and its name. God gave me my business and He keeps me going everyday. Isaiah 40:31 For those whose hope is in the Lord, shall rise up on Wings of Eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Colorado. Since moving here from Fresno, California in 1997, we have found some pure jems. When I talk to people who are new to Colorado or I have a visitor, I make sure and mention and go see with them if possible the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak of course and the Pueblo Reservoir. Along with some really tasty restaurants in Town like Dees Tacos here in Pueblo.
It is so hard to pick a favorite place, as I love the Mountains, the trails, the lakes, but I would have to say that my husband and I spend most of our leisure time at the Pueblo Reservoir, it is close, allows for a multitude of activities, from fishing to boating and hiking. We just love it and in fact was the main reason we moved to Pueblo. We take the grandkids on the boat to play in the tubes, go water skiing and just hang out on the shores and do a bit of fishing.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband and my family are my biggest supporters, He helps me work hard for others with his support, in assisting me with listings and being there when things are great and when things are not. He is my angel, given to me by God. I also want to shout out to all the others in this community who have stood by me and helped me learn how to run a successful real estate agency, Amy Gasperetti with the Pueblo West Chamber was and is still a great influencer, along with another fellow Realtor Karen Martinez with Keller Williams. We both worked for a local brokerage when I first got my license. I have the best circle of friends and business sphere, actually one in the same, as I support their businesses as they support mine. But most of all, I would truly like to shout out to my clients, all who trusted me with their lives and allowed me to be of service to them and be such a big a part of their journey. I would not be where I am today without every one of them.
