We had the good fortune of connecting with Cliché and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cliché, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
We love what we do and we think we really have something rad to show listeners. Rock n’ Roll music isn’t really something you come across anymore and we think it’s fun to bring that feeling back in the way we play.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Rock n’ Roll is our game. We all grew up one way or another enjoying classic 80’s rock music. As we grew up we naturally started gravitating toward other music and that shows as well. It morphs into classic rock sound that we own very proudly.

What sets us apart is talent level. There isn’t a lot of bands out in the music community today, at least in our area, playing what we play at our level. The nostalgia is another thing we bring. Our originals sound straight out of 1987. We also bring that look with us on stage not only cosmetically but the presence as well.

It wasn’t necessarily a hard beginning but it was a relatively slow beginning. Joe and I (Adam) have played together for ten plus years and we were in need of a bass player. We got Andrew to join us and Luke followed a few months after him. Luke and Andy also had played in a band together in the past. Once we got together we started to click pretty quickly. Our vision was/is to bring classic rock back and with a force.

Something we have learned along the way is that not everyone is going to love what you do. There are the people out there that just aren’t into it. We had to kind of learn to forget about the people not clicking with what we do and what we play and show more attention and pay more attention to the people that love what we do and have to share.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, unfortunately in our small town there isn’t much. Local bars and friends houses are pretty much where you can find us. But surrounding towns have really cool music venues and restaurants. Places like Kearney, Lincoln and Omaha have great live music scenes, and are close enough to make a really rad day trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our families and significant others are the obvious choice. Playing gigs late at night or being gone at a pretty regular rate is taxing on not only us but the ones who support us. Since at each of our respective music beginnings they’ve been the ones who push us and support us. Another one we have to give is all the people coming out to rock out with us. Music is way more fun when you have people connecting and rocking out with you.
