We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cynthia, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?

I didn’t know what I didn’t know. So, the second best decision I made was to invest in me and my business. I entered a leadership program, got a leadership coach that would hold me accountable and looked at every aspect of my business. This was a game changer. My relationship to finances, marketing, sales and customer engagement shifted dramatically.

What should our readers know about your business?

I am a transformational specialist and one of today’s best loved inspirational leaders and teachers guiding thousands of people to make changes at a deep level for lasting healing in their lives. Whether coaching, speaking or teaching I invite participants into INQUIRY, INTROSPECTION AND INTEGRATION. My newest program, Advanced Awareness Coaching offers depth, focus and results for high level business creatives.

The journey was not straight or without challenges. I completed two Master’s Degree programs; one in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute where she was awarded the honor of distinguished alumni, and the other in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. I uniquely combine the creative arts with innovative therapeutic techniques to bring powerful personal growth and expansion to individuals of all ages, cultures, and lifestyles, including facilitating the message of my bestselling and award-winning books, “What Will Set You Free”, Revealing Your Extraordinary Essence” and “I Choose Me: The Art of Being A Phenomenally Successful Woman at Home and at Work.”  My newest book, “Does My Voice Matter?” comes out in September 2022.

I feel qualified to support others because my life was transformed as I transcended a childhood of violence and PTSD. I am personally committed to utilizing creative expression as a vital and effective healing modality. I have overcome a great deal and learned to find my voice and stand in my personal power. My messages, music and meditation products have supported individuals and groups around the world.

I have appeared in the movies, Sacred Journey of the Heart and Leap! I have also facilitated hundreds of workshops, seminars and keynotes; including Celebrate Your Life, Omega Institute, Woman Arising, the Gift in Shift, Colorado Behavior Healthcare Council, Women’s Success Forum, the Children’s Hospital and many others. I co-hosted a radio talk show, a television talk show in Los Angeles and am a sought-after radio guest.

Internationally, I am thrilled to lead workshops in England and Ireland and have created and facilitated pilgrimages to Peru, Chartres, France, meditations in the Temples of Humankind in Damanhur, Italy and Mary Magdalene experiences in the south of France. I have presented and been the co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Conference in Uganda, Africa collaborating with the Global Livingston Institute.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The first thing would be to welcome them to our ranch near Conifer, Colorado. 12 acres of beautiful trees and trails. We would hang out here for a while with our dogs and horses. We support local. So, we eat breakfasts at Aspen Perk and lunches/dinners at Brook Place Tavern. We would take a beautiful drive to Breckenridge and explore the lovely sights.

We have interesting neighbors – Jonathan and Maria/Anne and Todd. So, we would have a couple of gatherings.

We would also do a walk around the lake in Evergreen and coffee and lunch at Java Groove.

In town, 240 Union restaurant is a choice dinner spot. We love the menu and service. We also would spend time in
Belmar (Lakewood). French Press for breakfast, Ted’s Montana grill for lunch/dinner and take in a movie. All in one area.

We would definitely go the Denver Center for Performing Arts and take in a play after eating in one of the fabulous restaurants on Laramie Street.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

International speaker/teacher/coach – Lisa Nichols and the global leadership program supported me in ways I could never have imagined.
