We had the good fortune of connecting with Darius West and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darius, what do you attribute your success to?
Happy people! I have found that it is better to focus on people rather than product. I love what I do because my company improve peoples lives, simply by making Hemp and CBD products and infomation available to a sometimes novice audience. This virtual experience mimics what you may see in a dispensary, which makes diving into this aspect of Cannabis more comfortable to newcomers. All of our products are award-winning and testing can be found online and on packaging. All our processes seek to improve the lives of our most important factor, people.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Many company can provide similar products, but not digestable knowledge. We battle decades of social stigma, and unjust laws when informing customers on these products. Many come with their own misconceptions passed down and reinforced by society. We have experience with thousands of patients looking to improve their general wellness. We know how to breakdown the available science so that even a novice can understand. We are looking forward to producing our own product line and increasing the amount of consultations we complete per month.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a Denver native, I love the outdoors. When I have visitors I like to show them why you can’t spell Colorado without Color. Red Rocks is my go to for an easy hike and brilliant view. After working up an appetite I’d take my friend to Welton St Cafe, (a staple in the Black Denver community) for a nice lunch. Visiting the Museum of Contempory Art is one of my favorite things to do. We’d enjoy a drink on their rooftop, then walk around downtown, visit the river, Union Station, and 16th St Mall. I like to follow this with an authentic Guatemalan meal at El Chalate on Colfax. On the final day a nice breakfast at Denver Biscuit Company, followed by a simple bike ride around City Park would be a great way to top this visit off.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to acknowledge all of the victims of the War on Drugs. Those people jailed, fined, and otherwise terrorized by legal systems which failed them. Especially the ones that did so because they knew it was the right thing to do. I feel like those profiting in the cannabis industry don’t make this ackowledgement enough. Let us understand that without these individuals no change in laws would be made. There is still much ground to be covered regarding creating a socially equitable market for cannabis, but the struggle began with these “outlaws”.
