Meet David Manak | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Manak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risks to me are the definition of adventure! I believe we should strive to aim for the highest mark we can and see where we land. I’m truly the individual who is fulfilled by a phrase “Unknown things must be tried”! Because of this philosophy I’ve been able to create a business that has no limits and provides a steady pace of adventure. As we all know a percentage of risks we take don’t end successfully, however, the learning process is the goal. To better serve my clients firmly sits at the top of my priority list and I am now consistently perusing new ways to help my clients genuinely enjoy their time working with me from start to finish!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It all began with a core love for the world of digital creativity and wanting to share it with others. Photography is now a passion that connects multiple joys in my life. I get to create an art that speaks to me and my clients. My albums will act as a transportation tool to their fond memories. Nostalgia is a beautiful part of life!
My business has been grown on a ethos aimed at quality and love for the fleeting moments of life. In order for me to properly achieve this I need to maintain diligent focus on my clients unique vision and needs. There are 2 focuses in my craft: Beautiful imagery that tells a story in a documentary fashion and my clients experience from start to finish. You can’t truly be happy with your product if one of these fall short. I spend countless hours brainstorming new ways to be there properly for everyone I work with.
My brand is based of an authentically passionate foundation. I am deeply excited and proud with all the people that I’ve captured. 350+ weddings later and I eagerly await the next moment to document!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like to consider myself a person of balance. Sometimes the city and nightlife feed my soul and other moments the mountains and off the beaten path are needed. I’d definitely lead the way to both for any travelers headed this way. I would probably start Shells in Sauce in Denver followed by a cocktail at Forget Me Not in Cherry Creek. In the mountains I would take them to Brainard Lake area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt my Mother. My Mom stayed true to approach of encouraging passion above comfort and structure. She was a source of unconditional support and has played a behind the scenes role in the development of Northern Glow Photography and brought the business where it is today. When an individual has full support for your dreams a heightened level of ambition is created. My gratitude runs deep for her.
