We had the good fortune of connecting with David Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the personal connection we make with our couples, as well as our collaborative process really helps make each event a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We do our best to really discover the vision our clients have for their event and customize the day to them. We also work with them one-on-one from the very beginning, so by the end of the event many of them consider us to be friends and not just DJ’s. It’s a great feeling to be an integral part of the event, and help deliver the perfect day for our clients. And that philosophy has helped us create hundreds of successful events and more to come in the future!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I never thought I would grow up and be a DJ/MC. I always loved music and had a special connection with it, but I went to school for Economics and figured I’d be in the business field doing something else. After a few years of not really enjoying what I was doing I decided to start a couple hobbies to escape normal life for a bit. One of these was acting! And although I’m not going to pursue it professionally, it taught me a lot about being comfortable in my own skin and in front of other people. I also met my great friend Tasos, whose company I now work for and get to pursue a career that mixes art and business together! I think the one thing I learned is that everything you experience has a purpose and can help in the future, whether you realize it at the time or not. So keep an open mind, try things you’ve wanted to do, and see what happens! I feel very blessed that my job is allows me to make someone’s day incredibly special, and I get to have a blast doing it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well you definitely have to experience the mountains! Whether it’s Garden of the Gods, Idaho Springs, or further up you can’t miss the clean fresh air and the beauty they have. Downtown Denver really has a lot of great restaurants and entertainment. I’m a fan of Larimer Street, as well as the Dairy Block and Union Station for places to eat. We have a lot of great concert venues too- if you can get to Red Rocks for a concert that’s a must! We have some great professional sports teams if you’re a fan. Also a lot of breweries and food trucks which is a huge part of the Colorado lifestyle!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Events take a lot of people working together with the same intention to be successful. We’ve been blessed to work with many planners, catering staffs, photographers, and venues that have been so supportive and great to work with ensuring that we can all be successful. The collective energy and commitment to making someone’s day is always present and we feel very fortunate to work with so many great people in the Colorado event community!
