We had the good fortune of connecting with Derek Carpenter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Derek, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always wanted to be an artist, and felt that aligning this desire with a form of charitable service would be the best way to ensure its success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a particular fancy for art that is reminiscent of the psychedelic experience. The imagery that the mind is capable of with psychedelics is quite complex and beautiful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If someone were visiting Denver and I wanted to show them a good time I would take them to a show at Red Rocks, or hiking in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people who have helped me along the way. In particular, a fellow named Dennis, who taught me how to build and go into business for myself. Teachers, mentors, and family are too many to name.
