Meet Devin Conley | Western and Agricultural Content Creator and Teacher

We had the good fortune of connecting with Devin Conley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devin, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have always been a pretty creative person, writing poetry, tooling leather, drawing, etc. I started making western content for fun, and then quickly found that it is an outlet for my creativity. I also love that I can connect with countless amounts of amazing people, who inspire me and motivate me to always be my best self.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Full time, I am a history teacher at a middle school, where I have taught for 8 years. I grew up in ranching and rodeo, and that lifestyle is near and dear to my heart. I never left the industry, and wanted to share it with others. I started creating content a couple of years ago, and quickly found my niche in humor, and supporting and encouraging beginners. I have never been extremely tech savvy, so there have been learning curves, but being able to share my lifestyle, humor, and uplift others has made it worth it. I am also able to share the leatherwork that I create, and my western poetry, as well. I want people to know that, I truly do care about the western industry and all those who are part of it. I encourage everyone to follow their dreams, and to know that even if you aren’t born into this way of life, you can always find your way to it, later.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them trail riding up near Red Feather, on Lady Moon Trail, and then go to the Forks for the best sandwich around. In town, I would want them to get a really good burger from Henry’s, and then probably go antiquing at the thrift stores off Highway 287.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My father has always pushed me to try things outside of my comfort zone, and always supported my endeavors. He taught me most of what I know about the Western industry, and I owe so much to him for raising me in rodeo, and ranching. Paige Kosinski and Nicole Kasper from Odyssey Entertainment Group have been wonderful people to have alongside me, and have supported me from the very beginning. Of course, every single person I interact with, and that enjoys my content deserves all the appreciation, I couldn’t do any of this without them!
