Meet Dianne Rensink | Medical Aesthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dianne Rensink and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dianne, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When the current owner moved out of state she realized that she didn’t want to run the spa from another state. She originally thought she could do it, but it proved to be too much. She came to me and asked me if I wanted to buy it, and I immediately said, “no way”. But as time went on I started thinking, “why not me?”. The more I thought about it the more excited I became, and it was my original intent when I started school to be an aestethician.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Elixir Aesthetics is a blend of a luxury day spa and a med spa. We have very beautiful services including relaxing facials and body treatments, but we also offer the more advanced treatments like; radio frequency micro needling, Botox, and laser hair removal. I am proud of our approach with our clients, we don’t pressure anyone into any service and we are honest with our consultations. We tailor our service to their individual needs in a relaxing atmosphere. When I first started at Elixir I had only done facials and I loved doing facials. She allowed me to rewrite the facials with her so that we could provide a more luxurious experience for our clients. It was easy because she was open to it. We formulated our own products that have been curated to meet our clients needs and we use them in our facials. I think it is important that the world knows that we truly want to work with each individual client to enhance their personal beauty, well-being, and foster confidence in them. We blend advanced technology with natural beauty principles, ensuring personalized treatments for each client.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would love to show them what Colorado is all about! My plan includes popular attractions, outdoor activities, local eateries, and cultural experiences.
Day 1 – Explore downtown Denver
Eat at the Denver Biscuit Company and then head to the Denver Art Museum. Explore Larimer square in the evening and enjoy some food, shopping, and nightlife
Day 2 – Nature and City Parks
Start the day at Snooze. Visit the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens, lunch on a patio somewhere where we can relax and catch up with some cocktails.
Day 3 – RMNP
Start with a drive thru the Rockies, stopping for scenic photo opps. Go hiking on one of Colorado’s many beautiful trails. Then drive back to the city for a steak dinner at Elway’s!
Day 4 – Union Station and downtown
Grab scooters and explore the city – exploring food options at Union Station. Venture out to the cute communities surrounding the city; Highlands, LoHi, Rino!
Day 5 – Outdoor Adventures
Paddle boarding at Cherry creek Reservoir
Look for local food trucks for lunch.
Pop over to Red Rocks for a concert and an evening in fresh air.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sierra Brown – she guided and supported me in my career. Her spa was the first place that hired me as a medical aesthetician – and she showed me all the ropes. I admired her for being so young and for having her own business! She is smart and I don’t think I would be able to buy her business if she hadn’t given me the confidence.
