Meet Elle Green

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elle Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elle, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Some of the habits that have helped me succeed, would be studying and playing around with the duality of music and myself! Reminding myself that I’m an artist and a fan, and using that to help me expand and study music. It helps me determine the differences between songs I like and songs I love and having the courage to explore until I find that balance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets my art apart is that there is only one me. That was probably the hardest part of my journey, not campring myself. Comparison is the thief of joy. I express myself through my music, talking about whatever I feel in that moment. I find inspiration in the intensity of emotions and the experiences of life. That’s what art is, my art is just my take on those things. I believe, that’s what makes it special. Overall, I hope my brand is always submerged in the essence of love. The journey of it and expression, loving yourself and loving others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop would be my favorite taco truck on 47th and Peoria. If you’re MY friend, you love tacos so that’s always a treat. After great food all that’s left is a great local live show (pre-covid) and chill!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many! Ultimately all the Women that showed me sisterhood and support on my journey here. Kah Li, Koo Qua, Danae Simone just to name a few. But like I said there are so many beautiful women who have mentored me and put me on game.
