We had the good fortune of connecting with Emerald Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emerald, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe that taking risks is something we do every day. However the difference is not to just take risks but to take “calculated risks” Takijng the time to weigh the pros and the cons before making that decision, on anything. The role that risks has played for me? Well, I think I was taking to many risks lol. Then I had to learn to take and evaluate the calculated ones. It’s been beneficial in some ways where other ways it’s been an absolute failure lol. Better yet, lessons learned.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m currently a Mortgage Loan Originator at a local bank here in Colorado Springs. I wholeheartedly believe what sets me apart from others is how I’m able to build report and connect to people with ease. It’s effortless and I honestly beleiv3 it’s a gift from God. As I’ve journeyed into this career it has had many challenges. I wasnt always confident in this space or in my skin for that matter. In this industry you’ll hear alot of uncertainty and that’s where I had to learn that the no isn’t to “me” it’s to what I’m offering. And that’s ok What I’d like the world to know about me which is my brand is that it’s always being written. It will in some areas change. But if you constantly educate yourself about what you don’t know. It will empower you to build on what you’ve learned.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow lol. If I had to entertain out of town friends I’d first tell them to get rest because Garden of God’s is most prettiest first thing in the morning. We’d then make sure we went to Denver to have a ladies spa day at the beautiful Brown Hotel. Very vintage in its appearance and the experience there is breath-taking. before dinner wed go to the museum, looking at the history of where you’ve been to where we are now is always intriguing. Now, its dinner time and papadeau here we come. It’s not too cold or too hot to adventure to the Hot Springs for a couple of days they are here. The best of both worlds if you ask me. As we travel back we go to Springs and visit Denver Biscuit downtown walk around and wind down since their flight leaves the following day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to those people who gave me the opportunity to “be BOLD” and trusted what I had to bring to the table. I want to give recognition to my friend Melanie McFall MY CHILDREN John and Joshua and my baby sister Ashley Taylor. The pillars that have been my number 1 supporters in my life through EVERYTHING.
