Meet Erika & Joe Hulm | Dancing Jaguar Coffee

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika & Joe Hulm and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erika & Joe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When we were young both our families were entrepenuers. So, our opinion on owning your business comes natural. We had the dream to start this business long ago, and we still just at the star and we love it.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our coffee business revolves around family, from the crop to the cup. We are so proud of seen the grow of it and hearing the positive feed back from our costumers. We started last year in a tent, them we moved to a coffee trailer. Our goal is to have a brick and mortare store, to expande our business furter. It is not easy, it is hard work but it is fullfilling. As any other new business guesing what peopple like it was in the beginning something we have to learn and give to our costumers choices, not just what we really like. We run the business as family, our dauthgthers help us during the busy days so we can offer personal costumer service. It makes a diference when you are avaible to talk about your product when you are involve from the begining of the product to the end.
As a small farm every bean gets to be meticoulously hand sorted for size and quality, and it is something we care an show trough to the final product.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
well , this might sound boring to some but we love the Denver zoo, the museum of nature and history. And for the experience we will take them to Casa Bonita.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We atribute this Shoutout to our parents whom were our role model on hard work ethics. Special recognition to Adan Duke( Erika’s dad) who has been working on the farm for more tham 50 years, and still going to the farm every single day. We choose the name of our brand Dancing Jaguar Coffee honoring the mayan roots of the peopple in Copan Ruinas Honduras, place where the Farm is. Our Logo is a resemblance of a jaguar dancing, wich is place in the arqueological site, where Maynard (Joe’s dad) had a fun time mimiking the posture. Thanks to our parents ,they have been extremelly supportive.
