We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Faith, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
As mothers, my business partners and myself have strived to teach our children that they can do and become anything that they want, no matter their age. If you would have told each of us 5 years ago we would own our business today and be designers and strategists, I don’t know if we would have believed you… let alone even realized at that time that that is what we wanted to do! As we grow, our dreams may change and certain doors and paths along life may lead us to destinations we didn’t even realize we wanted to go to. As individuals we are learning to lean into those moments and into those calls from God to take the roads less traveled. The views are spectacular and we could have missed out on those opportunities if we choose to take the easier route. As parents, we want to help encourage our children to embrace these chances in life, no matter what stage they are in. It is never too late to chase your dreams! The first step into the unknown is often the most difficult, followed by an unexplained momentum and support from others in your new found tribe!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We understand the stress and unknowns of starting a small business. Although I am here in the Denver area, my other two business partners are in Virginia and Missouri. Starting a business in three different states was extremely difficult to navigate. From the beginning we have had to focus on communication and the importance of staying connected virtually. As we have grown as a business, we have learned more and more how vital the branding process is when launching a new business. Our team primarily works with startups and entrepreneurs who are looking to brand their company. We are able to provide professional knowledge, experience, and insight from 3 designers and strategists for every client and every project. With high quality services at an affordable and budget-friendly rate, we are proud to work with those who are just starting their businesses and provide realistic options without compromising quality!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Funny you should ask, I already have an entire list made up of just this for when Marlaina and Kim finally fly out to Denver to come see me!
After leaving the airport, we’d have to stop for some coffee and Huckleberry Roasters – it is a must! The entire vibe and experience at this local coffee shop is incredible and offers delicious treats in a fun environment! It is a designer’s dream to walk into this place!
After heading north to NOCO, we will grab a salad at Café Mexicali before heading to the mountains. This locally owned small business offers fresh delicious salads and some of the best chips and queso! Don’t forget to grab a lime drink as well! You can thank me later!
Rocky Mountain National Park is a must and we would spend the rest of the day exploring the outdoors and hiking together. I love the outdoors and the inspiration I feel as I escape to a place off the grid. Bear Lake and all the surrounding lakes would be a great start to show them the beauty that God created before us!
On our way home, we would stop at the Colorado Cherry Company! This is a must stop at place on your way to or from Estes Park into Loveland. They have all things cherry and it is quite the fun experience to look around!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this Shoutout to my Father. He was always my biggest fan and loudest supporter. He encouraged me to see what I could not often see in myself and helped me to build self confidence. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago. From the moment I got the call with the news of his passing, I have dedicated my life to seeing myself through my fathers eyes. He knew I could do whatever I set my eyes on. – Starting a business is SCARY, but I knew that my dad knew I could do it, and I leaned on his faith and in my relationship with God to take the leap of faith into the business world. The three owners here at Bound By Grace Media felt the call from God to start this venture and we will always praise Him and give Him the credit for our successes.
