We had the good fortune of connecting with Forever Soul Live and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Forever Soul, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Social impact to our culture and community is the foundation of where our business was founded. We each started out as independent artists, respectively in our cities. Soul curated open mics and art shows all over NYC. Witty curated independent artists events and performance opportunities in New Orleans. From there, we then realized the need to have people of color event directors who can curate these same opportunities where it may be lacking. From there, Forever Soul Live was born. We believe in creating safe spaces in different places for businesses, people and energies to network, grow and prosper. From hosting art shows, teaching classes and travelling to connect with like minds, we believe there is so much still needing to be built within our communities and the world. We hope to be an impact and influence to the community to strive deeper than settling for what is norm to succeed.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a very creative duo. Besides curating events, we enjoy writing poetry/songs, acting, catering our creole cuisine, creative crystal jewelry, and painting. We believe, the mission of life is to give an unique perception of the world and have it impact others. We worked hard to get to the space we are in within our art. From interning, to doing free shows and community events, we learned our goals we aspired for will take years to achieve. However, that is part of the journey of setting a foundation for a stable entity. The one lesson we continuously learn is patience. Each project will inspire someone, even if it’s one person. And sometimes it takes years for that opportunity you manifested to open up for you. When it will though, it will be worth the journey. Aim to inspire always. We are excited for the future to create opportunities for people like us and others to achieve the creative dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have lived in Denver for over a year and have enjoyed our experience so far. We will include three of our favorite places we visited this year.

1) Mellow Mushroom Downtown Denver is an eclectic, funky, and art-filled restaurant that features craft beers and stone oven pizzas. Great vibes and vegan options too.

2) 16th Street Mall is over a mile long strip Downtown Denver, that features shops, restaurants and good times. Also, has a free trolley that takes you to one side of the strip to the next.

3)Denver Selfie Museum provides you Instagram quality backdrops for videos, music videos, or whatever vision you want. Over 12 different rooms and experiences, anyone will have fun here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to shout-out firstly, our family and friends in NYC and New Orleans. You’re continuous support motivates us to do what we do.

Shout-out to our music producer, Shisha Arbaha, who works hard to make sure we have amazing quality beats for us to express ourselves on. He is located in New Orleans but the distance doesn’t stop the artistry.

And big shoutout to Studio Nuketown in Philly. Teno, our music engineer, has been there to make sure we have stage quality and radio ready tracks. He works with artists all over the country. IG@studionuketown
