We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When people find out I’m a spiritual teacher with clairvoyant and empathic gifts, the first thing they want to know is, how did I get into this kind of work. And I always think, how far back do I go?—because I just came into this life with a link to the spiritual dimension. I was a highly sensitive, old soul kind of kid who’d mind meld with trees and channel the darndest old soul things to say in conversations with the adults around me.

On my mystical path to starting a business, one of the more pivotal moments was having a vision of the funeral of a very dear loved one about a month before it happened. In my overwhelming grief and confusion about this and the overwhelm of feeling other people’s needs and struggles like they were my own because of my empathic gifting, I closed off my spiritual gifts for many years, and focused on my calling to creative writing, eventually getting a master’s degree in screenwriting.

I used my writing to heal some of my personal traumas, but living without spiritual connection for someone so deeply spiritual was painful, and my spiritual gifts began to call me to reengage with myself on the soul level. As I did, I started to see my life fill with magical wonder and color—my gifts delighted me with signs of spiritual support when I asked for them and even when I didn’t, my creativity became an access point for meaningful self-discovery and service to others, and my stories became often playful and quirky and full of magical realism, a reminder of the wonders of the spiritual dimension in our lives.

That’s when my business started to organically emerge. I was getting so much out of this Technicolor revival of the soul that I wanted to help other sensitive people connect with themselves on the soul level. So that they too could be delighted by their inner magic and find out that soul connection would bring the light they were looking for into their lives. I started with spiritually introspective workbooks to accompany handmade prayer beads and soon I was teaching channeling workshops and courses, guiding small mysticism groups, and providing mentorship.

It was a calling that connecting with my soul turned up the volume on, so that I could clearly hear it. Out of this, I have gotten to work with some of the most beautiful souls on the planet—healers and lightworkers and artists. These are people who have come into this life to be a light in the world, to touch their communities with their immense compassion, wisdom and vision. My work with these mystically appointed lights helps them take their next steps toward embracing and expressing what their soul’s came here to do and to deliver their gifts to the world as well.

Recently, a new aspect of my work has emerged involving my experience of living with PMDD, PreMenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, a disability with physical, emotional, and mental impact. I was diagnosed in 2020, giving a name and some orderliness to a pattern I had been watching and trying to navigate for over 3 decades. It was a relief to finally be in conversation about something that was such a massive influence in my life, and I now talk openly about it on my website as a service offering to others who are living with this life-threatening condition.

I would not have been able to live with PMDD for so many years avoiding a life-threatening event myself, if not for my spiritual gifts and work bringing essential skills and a source of light into my life. That’s why it’s so important to me to talk about my experience and offer my support—so that others might find the same avenues of light and comfort. So, as always, my work continues to emerge organically as I continue to connect with my soul and discover myself.

What should our readers know about your business?
This is deeply important, soul-feeding work. It’s also so much magical fun, I could hiccup a neon polka dot into existence and whirl away on a pinwheel of wonder. What can I say, I’m a whimsical girl with a deep, magical soul. And when I work with you, I’m so curious to find out what kind of magical soul you are.

In all my creative, spiritual, and service activity, I’m called to help you find your way to the light that comes with soul connection and inner alignment. We might work together in Mystic Woman where I’ll help you discover your inner magic and spiritual support. There’s a lot of spiritual fun for a mystic girl here, with oracle cards, tea leaves readings, signs and guides, and working with any channeling gifts you might have—empathic, oracular, mediumship.

Or perhaps we’ll connect at PMDD Corner where I help those of us living with PMDD find comfort through activities that bring self connection and soul connection. My heart is soooo with you in this. And if something creative or mystical is trying to be born through you, we might work together in a Genius Portal mentorship where I’ll teach and guide you in channeling practices for creative, service and storytelling projects, or active soul-seeking. Are you down for a soul quest? I know I am.

All of this is to remind you who you are. In the deepest depths of your being. On the soul level. On the cosmic level. Yes, through ideas and intellectual awareness—I’ve been told that I have a way of getting right to the heart of the matter and articulating complex ideas in ways that are easy to understand. But also going beyond what we can do with our minds, my work connects you deeply, in communion moments of connection with your inner magic, the spiritual support that is all around you, and the life force that fills the air, the space, the cosmos you inhabit.

I MEAN, COLORADO, WHAT?!!!!

Look at this place. Colorado is an energetic powerhouse! Alive with life force. You can feel it in the mountainous drumming of the thunder, see it in the thundering towers of the mountains, hear it in the ancient crooning of the wind. Indoors or outdoors, when we work together I might guide you in a pilgrimage, a soul quest, or another mystic ritual experience to access the immense connection that is not only available you, uniquely, but meant for you as part of your birthright of spiritual connection.

It all sounds so solemn and reverent, and it is, but who you are may not be solely solemn and reverent. Like me, you may also be silly and playful and creative. Curious and rebellious and irreverent. You may be a sage and a polka dot and a warrior artist all in one. That’s what I’m here to help you find out. And learn to live in. And act out. In ways that are aligned with your unique, one-of-a-kind soul.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m so fortunate to have a husband who was born and raised in Boulder, and later Nederland, Thornton and Westminster, because I’ve got the inside track to the best food and natural power places around. So on the itinerary for my visitors to this amazing state is always:

• Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant in Thornton—one of my husband’s childhood favorites, we’ve found the best authentic Mexican food here of all our visits to local restaurants.
• Boulder Hikes—Flatirons Vista North, NCAR, White Rocks Trailhead.
• Natural Wonders—Red Rocks, Garden of the Gods, Estes Park, Boulder Falls.
• The Stanley Hotel—a pop-culture treat for those of us movie and literature lovers in the bunch.
• Glenwood Springs—in terms of a dazzling and luxurious near-nature experience, this is our number 1 choice for a weekend getaway.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to Jamie Sams, author of “Sacred Path Cards: The Discovery of Self Through Native Teachings.” After many years spent with her animal medicine cards, I only recently discovered this book and oracle card collection—in divinely appointed timing, of course—and it has given me such relief for speaking my own soul truth and showing me I’ve got good company in it. And there’s a strong Colorado connection there, with some of the sacred spiritual experiences she writes about occurring here. Much gratitude for all of her work, which has been a light on my path.
