Meet Ileana Rico | Portrait Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ileana Rico and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ileana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am a 30 year old women with a beautiful family, a supportive husband and two pretty girls 11 and 6 years old. I have always worked full time since I become a Mom, I have worked in different jobs but mostly as housekeeper. And even tho I feel proud of been a hard working mom, cleaning houses wasn’t what I really wanted to do. I always love pictures, specially since my babies were born. So almost 3 years ago I decide to go for what I really love and open my own bussiness as a Portrait Photographer, I knew this wasn’t going to be easy and sacrifices would come along. I was very nervous as well because I didn’t know how successful my bussiness will be and even tho I am not where I want to be yet, I still dreaming and working to make it happen.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Been a photographer gives me the privilege to capture special memories for others, and have a beautiful pice of art hanging on your wall that tells a story makes my heart smile. Pictures are not only art but also a precious treasure that will be there for future generations helping them to meet and know more about their family, and that is priceless.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been the biggest support in my business and I am very thankful and blessed for that. My husband Oscar always incurage me to go chase my dreams and sheers me out. My girls are amazing, and every time I want to do some pictures either for special ocation or just for practice they are there for me en never say no to a session, they are my best models!
