We had the good fortune of connecting with Jack McGinn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jack, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was working part time at a brewery in Broomfield and realized they had so much potential to host big events on the weekends and weeknights! I saw a lack of community in my area among Jeep owners and offroad enthusiasts. I thought “well I’m really into my Jeep and I know other people that like Jeeps and off-roading, why not have a Jeep car show at the brewery one weekend?” Then I found myself asking “why only do one event? Why not multiple events?” Thus the Front Range Jeep Club was invented. We have monthly meet ups, go on weekend trail rides together, and are looking to host our first charity event this year. I’m excited to see where it goes!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I originally graduated college and like most individuals I had no idea what I wanted to do and sent my resume everywhere and anywhere! After countless job interviews I finally stubbled upon my first job working an insurance agent which was challenging and had a very high burnout rate. I saw the challenge as an opportunity to achieve something that would one day be rewarding and worth the countless hours and hard work put in!

I eventually jumped out and started my own venture and it has lead me to different avenues, one of them being the Front Range Jeep Club! There’s something about being able to take a hobby you enjoy doing and be able to create a community around it that excites me. I always find myself thinking “what else could we be doing to create a better experience for our members and the community? That seems to be the driving force of the Jeep Club!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would have to say my favorite spots are secluded trails that take you to great views! I love getting into the high country in my Jeep to places not many can go or will go. There is a handful of trails that come to mind that I’d recommend from Coney Flats outside Boulder to Chihuahua Gulch in Keystone. There are other places that are near and dear to me that I unfortunately cannot share simply because I love that they are more secluded and are a happy place for me!

However if I’m not hitting a trail I always love to check out Colorado’s craft brewery scene! A couple of my absolute favorite places would have to be 4 Noses in Broomfield and New Terrain Brewing in Golden. Some of the most consistent and quality craft beers I’ve ever tasted have come from both of these breweries!

I’m also a huge fan of snowboarding with Copper mountain, Beaver Creek, and Winter Park being among my favorite places to go! In general there’s something about being out in nature that puts life into perspective.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My manager at the time Chad Fegley has helped and supported my idea of having a Jeep club that is a community for anyone and everyone in the Denver metro north area that’s into jeeps or just off-roading in general! Chad was instrumental in offering sponsorship in the club’s infancy stages and without his help i’m not sure the club would be here today!
