We had the good fortune of connecting with Jared and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jared, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Deciding to move out to Colorado and bring on my first employee was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. The concept of taking care of another person (via payroll etc) was daunting but definitely rewarding, and one of the most important decisions I’ve made in my entrepreneurial journey.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are passionate about telling stories first and foremost. I think that is what differentiates us from some of the other media and production companies out there. As a business, we are always striving to drive emotion with people, inspire them to get outside, and hopefully become good stewards of our land, and water. The stories we are fortunate enough to tell are some of the most rewarding parts of our business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We call basalt Colorado home, with a small office on top of a restaurant called the Tipsy Trout. We would most likely meet there and grab a cold beer, and then head up for a day wading in the Frying Pan and throwing small dry flies into the evening. We are so fortunate to call the Roaring Fork valley home, with incredible skiing in the winter, and a plethora of fishing/hiking/biking options in the warmer months.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my team. They are the backbone of our success, and without a strong team, we wouldn’t have made it this far. We have a long journey ahead, and I couldn’t ask for a better crew to help this business grow and evolve into the future.
