We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Walters and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, how does your business help the community?
Life coaching creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the individual. My focus is on helping women regain their inner and outer glow, rebuild their confidence, and reconnect with their true selves. When a woman feels empowered, she shows up in her relationships, career, and community with more purpose, resilience, and joy.

On a larger scale, this work contributes to a healthier, more balanced society. When women prioritize self-care, embrace their worth, and step into their confidence, they become role models—whether as mothers, leaders, entrepreneurs, or changemakers. This creates stronger families, more compassionate workplaces, and communities where women uplift one another instead of feeling stuck in self-doubt.

By guiding women through mindset shifts, self-care practices, and purpose-driven living, I help them not only transform their own lives but also inspire those around them. The impact is collective—when one woman shines, she gives others permission to do the same, creating a world that’s more empowered, fulfilled, and radiant.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I began my career in sports and entertainment with the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche in 1995, starting as a receptionist before quickly moving into HR. In my first year, the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup—a thrilling experience that cemented my passion for the industry. I spent four years in HR before stepping away to focus on my growing family.

Three years later, while fully immersed in motherhood, I missed professional work. A casual conversation sparked the idea of starting a professional organizing business—perfectly aligning with my love for order and efficiency. I built it from the ground up, balancing entrepreneurship with my children’s schedules and community involvement.

A few years later, my former boss offered me a part-time HR role with the Nuggets and Avalanche. With my daughters now being older, it was the perfect way to re-enter the workforce while remaining present at home. Part-time soon became full-time, and I thrived as my role expanded. When my boss retired, I stepped into her position, eventually overseeing five teams. The work was demanding but deeply fulfilling.

Despite my love for the job, I felt a pull toward something new. Leaving was both terrifying and exhilarating, but I chose to follow my passion for helping others. I returned to school to become a certified life and health coach—a natural transition, as I had already been guiding and mentoring within HR.

Taking that leap was the best decision I ever made. I love working for myself, helping others grow, and witnessing their transformation. It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients as they embrace change and step into their fullest potential.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a third-generation Coloradoan, I take great pride in showing off our beautiful state—

When hosting out-of-town guests, I love strolling through Cherry Creek and grabbing a bite at some of my go-to spots like Cherry Creek Grill, The Cricket, and Little Ollies (because dumplings are always a good idea).

Of course, no trip to Colorado is complete without a mountain getaway! I love escaping to charming small towns like Grand Lake or Buena Vista—where the air is crisp, and the WiFi is questionable (which, let’s be honest, adds to the charm). Vail and Aspen are gorgeous, but they’ve changed a lot since my childhood, so I now gravitate toward the hidden gems.

I’m also a big fan of Rocky Mountain National Park, and every fall, I saddle up for a horseback ride through the park—because everything’s better with a cowboy hat.

Boulder is another favorite spot of mine, whether I’m hiking, people-watching, or trying to convince myself that I totally belong in a crystal shop. And let’s not forget the food scene—I’m always discovering cool new restaurants in RiNo, Sunnyside, Five Points, LoHi, and LoDo, but Acova, The Bindery, and Adelitas never let me down.

One experience I insist my guests have? A show at Red Rocks. You haven’t truly experienced Colorado until you’ve danced under the stars at this legendary venue. Can’t make a concert? No problem—Yoga on the Rocks is a magical way to start the day, followed by brunch in Morrison (because balance).

And if my guests are up for it, I’ll happily drag them paddleboarding—because what’s more fun than standing on a board while trying not to fall in? Clearly, I have a thing for the outdoors, and there’s always something new to experience in Colorado!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my husband and two daughters. They’ve been my biggest cheerleaders, always encouraging me to take this leap of faith and follow my passion for helping women regain their confidence and glow. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s absolutely true—they’ve been my rock.

I’m also incredibly grateful for my friends and family, who have worn many hats throughout this journey—mentors, advice givers, practice clients, and, most importantly, my biggest supporters. Their patience has been nothing short of saintly—enduring my endless brainstorming sessions, offering honest (but loving) feedback, and reminding me of my confidence when I temporarily misplaced it. Let’s be real, they deserve a medal for putting up with my never-ending stream of ideas!

This path hasn’t been one I’ve walked alone, and I truly believe the best things in life are built with the love and support of those around us. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible people who have lifted me up, and my goal is to pay that forward by empowering other women to rediscover their own inner and outer glow.
