We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Remack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In 2021, I lost my job of over 18 years working in Community Corrections. The facility closed down due to COVID outbreaks, limiting the number of clients able to move from the prisons and jails back into the community. During my time with this organization, I got to work as a case manager, addiction counselor, clinical director, and program director, helping people transition back into the community after incarceration. When the lay-offs happened, I thought, here is my chance, I can do my own thing now. So I took unemployment and went on my way.

I knew I was passionate about working with people, and I liked to work out. So I started working with the company, Beachbody, as one of their coaches. This work was rewarding, and I worked as a coach for them for a couple of years. During this time, I was going to Ninja Brand Parkour, American Ninja Warrior, Lorin Ball’s gym, competing, and playing on obstacle courses. All of this training and time led me to submit a video and get a call back to go on the TV Show, American Ninja Warrior (ANW). In March of 2022, I had my chance to compete on the ANW Course in San Antonio, Texas. Although my run was very short, it appeared on Season 14 along with my family and the GOAT, Bonzo, whom I get to train every week at Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary. In August of 2021, don Miguel Ruiz and his family offered an online apprenticeship called “Reflections: A Path to Authenticity.” Don Miguel Ruiz wrote the book, The Four Agreements. As a self-help junkie, I thought this was perfect, and I am going to take the deep dive into this work on myself. So here I am, four years later, still doing the inner work, coaching and teaching organizations and individuals about the four agreements and the personal freedom this offers. The Four Agreements also gave me perspective and awareness, which led me to quit drinking, smoking, and using all drugs. I have been sober since November 10, 2008.

In March of 2023, I began studying under the guidance of Shirzad Chamine with Positive Intelligence, and now I coach and train leaders, organizations, and individuals in the area of mental fitness. It’s like going to the mental gym and doing reps for your mind. The techniques are based in neuroscience and they help us to increase our emotional intelligence. We grow our awareness around what sabotages us and then understand how to access the part of our brain that gets us back to our center. We then become more proactive opposed to reactive.

In July of 2021, I began teaching and coaching Motivational Interviewing (MI), alongside my good friend and business partner, Shelley Siman. Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based practice that allows practitioners to help their clients resolve their own ambivalence and move towards behavior change. We work with non-profit organizations throughout the state of Colorado and now globally, helping companies with MI, mental fitness, and utilizing the four agreements within the workplace.

In April of 2018, my wife, Amy, passed away suddenly from meningitis. She had a headache on a Monday and was gone on Saturday. This led me to want to understand more about what happens when we leave our Earth suits. So, with this curiosity, I went to see a medium do a gallery reading. After Cynthia-Rose McCaw brought through some convincing evidence that Amy’s spirit was there, I began studying mediumship. I now offer mediumship readings and healings as a part of my business.

In 2022, my Aunt Della introduced me to the world of improv. So after taking several improv and acting classes, I get to now perform on stage several times a month at Flipside Theatre in Superior, Colorado. My friend and business partner, Tracy Stegall, and I offer improv to businesses as a team-building activity to help with relationships and communication. I also have the opportunity to be the host of our theatre’s podcast, “Look On The Flipside,” which will be relaunching in November/2025.

I’m so glad I lost my job and took the leap into the unknown. It’s been quite the journey, and it feels like it is just getting started.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love to create art and think of my life as a work of art that I get to design every day. As a small business owner, I get to choose my schedule and the clients that I get the opportunity to work with. Whether I am coaching someone one-on-one, training a team, or giving a mediumship reading, I am always giving thanks.

Each and everyday I wake up with awe and wonder about how the day will go. Each day is like a gift where I get to unwrap the goodness. I am most proud of the attitude I choose each day because my life took a tragic turn on April 14th, 2018. My wife, Amy, whom I got to love, learn from, and play with for over 7 years, passed away suddenly from bacterial meningitis. Amy had a headache on a Monday, was hospitalized on Wednesday, intubated on Friday, and took a flight-for-life to another hospital. She then had emergency surgery and was gone from her physical body on Saturday. The whiplash from this event caused me to go into deep grief and depression. I kept working my job at the time as a Program Director, but I wasn’t there mentally or emotionally.

In May of 2018, I went to see two mediums who were on stage and giving group readings to a room of about 20 people. After listening to them bring through loved ones and ultimately channeling Amy, I wanted to learn more. I began studying with Cynthia Rose McCaw and her husband, Brendan McCaw, learning how to heal myself. After about two years of internal exploration and healing, I began studying mediumship and learned how to channel information from the spirit world to loved ones still here on earth. I began to witness how healing this was for me and others. I’ve also studied mediumship and psychic development with psychic-medium Susann Bowler, who is an incredible evidentiary medium and psychic who lives right here in Denver, Colorado!

I began receiving signs shortly after Amy passed, with some of the most prominent signs happening when I had the opportunity to compete on Season 14 of American Ninja Warrior (ANW). Amy’s favorite number was 11, and she was also a retired math teacher. I began seeing 111 or 1111 everywhere! It was my run number, 111, my room number, 1110, and 111 was on the check that ANW gave us as a stipend for food. We continued to see 111 throughout our time in San Antonio, Texas. My dad had 111 unread emails on his phone, and our brunch total was $111.77. Even my sister’s and mom’s hotel room number on the other side of town was 1110. Every time I would see 111 or 1111, I would say, “Hi Amy.” I receive these signs as what I like to call “love notes” from Amy and the universe.

My best friend, Laurie, passed away in January of 2022, and she kept telling me, “You’re going to get on that show.” Sure enough, I know Laurie helped me from the spirit realm because when I got the call from American Ninja Warrior in February of 2022, the producer’s name was Errol Laurie. Yes, his last name is spelled the same way as my bestie’s first name. Errol said his first name is kind of like a palindrome since if you spell his first name backward, it spells, Lorre. So it’s like his name is Lorre Laurie! Haha! Hi Laurie! This was such a wonderful wink from Laurie.

I want the world to know that just because your loved one is no longer in their physical body, they are still around you in their spirit form, and they hear you when you are talking to them. They can also witness what is happening in your life. I have done several readings where the spirit will bring through evidence of what is happening in the lives of their loved ones still living here on earth. Spirit sends us signs all the time, and they love it when we recognize them. I like to thank my loved ones in spirit by saying “Hi Amy” or “Hi Laurie” and “Thank you” when I see the signs.

All of this studying and sitting in the quiet with the spirit world has helped me to understand and access a world that I didn’t quite understand existed before Amy passed away. I am so grateful that her spirit and essence are still a huge part of my life today, and I know our spirits will reunite once I leave my earth suit, too.

Lessons learned along the way include allowing myself to be open and remain expansive in a world that can seem so contractive at times. Understanding that there is a gift or opportunity in everything that has happened in my life. I now understand what it means when people say life is happening “for me” rather than “to me.” I would love to invite everyone reading this to keep expanding and keep opening your mind so that you can continue to unlock the magic that is indeed you. I send you all my love always in all ways.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Fly Dance Studio in Broomfield, Colorado, for a dance-club type workout in the morning. Then, we would head on over to First Watch for brunch. We would also go to PetSmart in Thornton to cuddle with the kittens and cats I get to volunteer with and help them find their furrever parents. Then we would venture out to Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary in Erie, Colorado, where we would play with Bonzo the goat. He is infamous for dribbling a soccer ball, playing tag, kicking a tether ball, identifying six different colors of cones, shaking visitors’ hands, and running a course on ANW. Bonzo is my clicker-play partner that I have had the privilege of working with for the last four years! He is amazing to experience.

We would end the day by going to see a show at Flipside Theatre in Superior, Colorado. I find Flipside Theatre to be a magical place where I get to perform and watch improv, stand-up comedy, musical improv, and sketch comedy on an awesome stage with some brilliant people.

We could also go on a hike around Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado. We would definitely catch a show at RedRocks Theater and either pack a dinner or eat at Wrigley’s Chicago Bar and Grill in Golden, Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this Shoutout to Flipside Theatre, including Tracy Stegall, Anders Lankford, Miguel Hernandez, and Marc Stueben. All of these amazing visionaries helped create the theatre and changed my life.

I would also love to shout out my “Reflections, A Path to Authenticity” Apprenticeship Mentors to include, don Miguel Ruiz, don Jose (Jossay) Ruiz, don Miguel Ruiz Jr, Karla Ruiz, and Aaron Landman.

Another shout out Shirzad Chamine with Positive Intelligence. A man who had a vision to help people remember their truest essence. I am where I am today because of all of these beautiful people in my life.

Flipside Theatre completely changed my life when I took my very first improv class in August of 2022. My aunt sent me and my two sisters a text message asking if we wanted to take an improv class with her, and I have been hooked ever since. Improv allows me to use my imagination and play to the highest level of my intelligence on stage with a beautiful community of people. This has allowed me to get out of my head and into my heart.

The Ruiz Family taught me how to access my heart and show up authentically. The teachings of Toltec wisdom have shown me that I am the artist of my life and how I can continue to show up and paint my story. I began my apprenticeship with the family in August of 2021 and continue on the journey today.

Shirzad Chamine taught me how to understand that my people pleasing was not helping me, but rather sabotaging my relationship with myself and others. This allows me to be impeccable with my word and let my yes truly mean yes.

All of these learnings, teachings, and coaching changed my life to help me be impeccable with my word. To truly let my yes mean yes and my no mean no. The self-awareness and ability to let go continue to serve me well as I continue to follow my inspiration.

My business partner and wonderful friend, Shelley Siman, also helps me to expand and grow every day. Through her leadership and kindness, we have collectively trained and coached 10 organizations and over a hundred staff.

My mediumship and healing mentors, Cynthia-Rose McCaw, Brendan McCaw, and Susann Bowler, have all taught me that our spirits continue after we leave our physical bodies, and love is the vibration of the spirit world.

Most importantly, I want to shout out all of my mentors as they have taught me how to live my life with unconditional love and an open heart.
