Hi JoLynne Kohl &, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started this business because we were fed up with having to enlist our own families for poop duty. Most people find it tiresome and don’t want to do it, which is why we created this service. We are here to help busy dog owners reclaim their time to pursue other activities and make their life easier. Also, as full-time moms, we wanted the freedom to decide how we were going to spend our time. This was a motivating factor for us to take back control of our own lives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We feel that being a women-owned with an educational background our pooper scooper business has created a unique and diverse selling point for us. We hope that we can inspire other women and our own children to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. This business has not been smooth sailing. Unfortunately, we have been subject to some negative feedback and people making fun of us for being in this industry. Is it the most glamourous? No. But it fills our cup and allows us to show off our creativity, hard work and commitment to make this successful. It’s important to us to show our children to think outside the box and take risks in order to achieve success. Rather than merely explain these values to our children, we wanted to show them in action. Our brand strives to demonstrate our dependability, kindness, and dedication to providing excellent service while having a good time!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Food Chophouse more of an old school classic but so delicious every time
Machete Tequila and tacos-not only amazing margaritas but the shishito peppers are *chefs kiss
Parisi- their spumoni gelato is a definite must try

Visit
Breckenridge- it’s such a quant town-so many treasures to be found at the shops.
Breweries- it doesn’t matter what brewery you pop in to its always a good time. There are so many all over Colorado to choose from.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our spouses have been the backbone of our success, constantly pushing us and believing in us. They have been true champions throughout this journey, always motivating and encouraging us. We cannot thank them enough for all that they have done.
