We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Kerr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what makes you happy? Why?
I had never considered running a business before. I never thought about how I wanted to be my own boss or wanted to make money that was purely for myself and my business. When the idea for Role Playing Glamour came around, my only thought was about how I wanted more nerdy makeup and bath products out there for people like me, and I think I can do that for us all. My favorite part about having a small business is to bring my vision and joy to others out there. I’ve been part of so many gifts, gender reveals, and relaxing baths at the end of the day. I love to write messages on all my orders thanking them for the support, and making it clear that each product was made with joy that I am passing on to them. It makes me happy to make others happy, and Role Playing Glamour helps me achieve that every day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The reviews on my page are 5 stars, but that’s not because there has never been a hiccup or an unhappy customer here and there. Every now and again when there is an issue, I take a personal approach to fixing it. Taking the time to address problems with care and understanding has helped myself as well as my business grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We have a couple amazing game-coffee shops here in Fort Collins. Gryphon Games and Comics and The Haunted Game Cafe and amazing places to find fun games, great coffee, and new friends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Meghan Blanton is my inspiration. She has a 9 to 5 job that she slaves away at every day, and still manages to take all her extra time and energy to support her passions and run her photography business. It’s people like her who inspire me to continue to grow my business, even when I come home from a long day and just want to relax. I’m so grateful to have her as a friend and mentor. She, along with many of our other friends, are obsessed with all things nerdy, especially Dungeons and Dragons. It’s the times spent at the table, rolling dice and fighting monsters that led to the inspiration for Role Playing Glamour.
