Meet Jules Frantic

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jules Frantic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jules, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As a band made up of two bankers, a mortgage guy, and a full-time student, at first glance you’d think we’d be resistant to risk. But forming a band amid a hectic calendar full of scheduling conflicts has been the kind of chaotic leap that we all love. Risk, for us, has looked like enduring traffic to get to a 6 PM show on a weeknight after a full work day, squeezing in recording sessions between shifts and exams, and playing a DIY gig in the drummer’s living room. But honestly, these moments have become something that has allowed the band to thrive. The reward we’ve experienced from channeling ourselves through music and connecting with people around Denver through local shows has made these risks entirely worth it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our music is unique as everyone in the band pulls from different inspirations, from blues to metal to hip hop, all these influences blend together in a unique way. Wasn’t easy getting here, finding a group that works well with adult schedules is always a challenge, but being brothers first, band mates second makes it work. We want the world to know that we do this for the love of music and the love of the art form. It shaped who we were growing up and we hope to shape people on the same way with our art.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Visiting Denver for a week has tons to offer. Being a relatively short drive from Denver to Breckenridge, we would highly recommend a day up there getting crepes and checking out the town. Also gotta show love to our hometown brewery in Aurora, Dry Dock. Great place with great beer. For some good night life we would take you out to Larimer Lounge and (). If you can squeeze in a show at red rocks, it’s kinda a must. Nuggets and Avalanche games are great since those teams aren’t terrible (lol).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to give a shout out to Alvaro Morales! Father of our lead singer who shares the same name, Alvaro Morales has helped produce our first two singles “HOT TUB FURY” and “Caught In The Act”. His experience and passion for music has helped shape our sound even more. His ideas and influence have helped us expand further from what we know and he has been incredible at seeking and expanding beyond our potential as a band and as musicians. He truly is our “5th Beatle” and having had the opportunity to work with him has been an amazing experience overall and we look forward to working more with him in the future!
