Meet Kale Rose Dennis | Acupuncturist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kale Rose Dennis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kale, what is the most important factor behind your success?
One of the biggest factors contributing to the success of my acupuncture practice is the profound effectiveness of the rare styles of acupuncture I use—specifically Five Element Acupuncture and Neoclassical Acupuncture. These approaches go far beyond addressing just physical symptoms. They support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and that’s something my patients deeply value.
Five Element Acupuncture is especially powerful in helping people reconnect with a sense of meaning, purpose, and emotional balance. Many of my patients describe experiencing not just relief from pain and other symptoms, but a renewed connection to themselves and to life. It’s about healing on a deeper level—helping someone feel more aligned, more grounded, and more alive.
At the same time, the Neoclassical style I practice is incredibly effective in working directly with the body’s biochemistry and anatomy. It helps bring the nervous system, muscles, and inflammatory responses back into balance, often with nearly immediate and remarkable results—especially when it comes to alleviating chronic pain and inflammation. It’s precise, evidence-informed, gives immediate feedback, and the outcomes are consistently impressive.
Together, these modalities allow me to offer a deeply integrative and transformative approach to health—one that honors the complexity of each individual and supports real, lasting healing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My acupuncture practice is built on a foundation of helping people heal deeply—on all levels. What truly sets my work apart is the effectiveness of the rare and powerful styles of acupuncture I practice: Five Element Acupuncture and Neoclassical Acupuncture.
Five Element Acupuncture is transformational in supporting not just physical health, but also helping people reconnect with meaning, purpose, and emotional well-being. It’s incredible to see patients light up as they rediscover balance and connection in their lives. Neoclassical Acupuncture, on the other hand, is incredibly effective on a biomedical level—especially in helping reduce pain and inflammation. NCA and Five Element Acupuncture treat a root cause of imbalance, often producing results that are surprising and profound. Every day, I feel honored to witness the powerful changes these approaches can help create.
I’m also proud to serve a Spanish-speaking community in Northern Colorado. I’m conversationally fluent in Spanish, and being able to connect with my Hispanic patients in their native language has made my work even more meaningful. It’s a joy to offer care that feels both culturally and personally accessible.
The road to building this business hasn’t always been easy. Like many small business owners, I’ve faced challenges—from the logistics of running a practice to the unpredictability of growth. One of the biggest keys to overcoming these challenges has been flexibility—being willing to adapt, listen, learn, and continually refine how I show up and serve. Flexibility has helped me stay resilient and aligned with my purpose, even when the path hasn’t always been clear.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is how powerful it is to simply show up with integrity, presence, and care. And how important it is to trust the process—not just in business, but in healing. I’m incredibly grateful to be of service in this way, and it never stops amazing me how deeply the acupuncture I practice can change lives. Whether it’s helping someone find relief from chronic pain, regain emotional balance, or feel reconnected to themselves, being part of that journey is a privilege.
What I want the world to know about my work and my story is that healing is possible, it doesn’t have to happen alone, and that the body was built for it. I’m here to support each person’s path with skill, compassion, and deep respect for who they are and where they’re headed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend is my wife, however, if my best friend were visiting Fort Collins for a week, I’d be so excited to show them just how vibrant, welcoming, and full of life this town really is. There’s so much to do here—amazing food, incredible nature, and a strong sense of community that you can feel everywhere you go.
Day 1: We’d kick things off in Old Town. It’s the heart of Fort Collins and such a fun place to explore. We’d grab coffee at Little Bird Bakeshop or Harbinger Coffee, then stroll around the shops and galleries. For dinner, we’d hit up The Welsh Rabbit for cheese boards and wine, or maybe The Regional for a cozy, locally sourced meal.
Day 2: We’d spend the day outdoors hiking in the stunning Poudre Canyon. There are so many beautiful trails—Greyrock is known for its spectacular views. After a day on the trail, we’d stop for a refreshing beer at Odell Brewing Co. or New Belgium. The local brewery scene here is great and so much fun to experience.
Day 3: As a member, one of my favorite local gems is the Fort Collins African Drum and Dance Collective, and I’d definitely take my friend to a West African drum and dance class. Classes with Fort Collins African Drum and Dance Collective are an uplifting, joyful community experience that always leaves people smiling and more connected. The energy is vibrant, joyful, and infectious, and really brings people together.
Day 4: We’d take a more relaxed day with some wellness time, maybe even a visit to the local farmer’s market if it’s running. Then we’d head to Ginger and Baker for lunch—it’s a must-visit spot with incredible food and a good vibes. Then I would show them the wonderful community office of Hope Lives! The Linda Dody Breast Cancer Support Center, a wonderful organization I am honored to be a practitioner for that supports breast cancer patients by offering integrative support services and products that help manage the physical, emotional, social & financial side effects of breast cancer treatment. Then we’d wrap the day with a walk or bike ride along the Spring Creek or Poudre River Trail.
Day 5: I’d want to show them some live music—maybe at Washington’s or a more intimate venue like The Armory. But first, we’d do dinner at one of the amazing restaurants in Old Town—maybe The Emporium or Jax Fish House.
Day 6: A day trip to Horsetooth Reservoir is a must. Whether it’s hiking, paddle boarding, or just lounging with a picnic, it’s one of the best ways to soak in the natural beauty of the area. That evening, we’d go for tacos and margaritas at Blue Agave or a fun night out at Social, the underground speakeasy-style bar with great cocktails.
Day 7: For our final day, we’d keep it chill—maybe brunch at Lucile’s, followed by some downtime at a local park or cafe, just soaking in the Fort Collins vibe. It’s such a laid-back, creative, and friendly town, and I’d want them to leave feeling refreshed and inspired.
Fort Collins is full of amazing people, creative energy, and a beautiful connection to nature. Whether you’re into food, music, outdoor adventures, or community wellness, it’s the kind of place where you can truly feel at home—and always find something that makes your heart light up.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Although I owe so much to so many teachers, I want to take a moment to recognize someone who has had a profound impact on my journey—my martial arts teacher, acupuncturist, and mentor, Matthew Hillman. His support, mentorship, and encouragement have played a huge role in where I am today.
Matthew has consistently led by example—not only through his incredible abilities as a teacher of Xing Yi Quan and Bagua Zhang, but also through the integrity, compassion, and care he brings to every aspect of his work. His dedication to both the healing and martial arts has been deeply inspiring, and the lessons I’ve learned from him continue to inform how I show up for my patients, in my life, and in my own practice.
I’m truly grateful for his guidance and the example he sets—it’s been a foundational part of my growth both personally and professionally.
