We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Satten and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kate, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from the perfectly manicured suburbs of Chicago. As a young child (and beyond), I instinctively saw the invisible-to-the-outside-world dysfunction and abuse inside many of the households of the meticulously dressed, well fed families (very much including my own) and KNEW that this information .. these experiences .. were going to inform my purpose as an adult. When I was 12 years old, I remember thinking, as I walked down the main street of my village, “I know things other people don’t seem to know” .. it always felt like I was studying, more than living an enjoyable life .. and studying I was. I grew up to be a touchstone for people who are trying, wanting, and/or needing to KNOW THE TRUTH in the face of the illusions they have been programmed to believe.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is unique in many ways .. I have yet to find an overarching category already created by others. I call myself a Personal Trainer For The Heart And Spirit. I came upon my ‘job’ as a result of the unusual circumstances of my life. I was raised as an unspoken slave to a family that appeared to be a typical upper-middle-class midwestern suburban family. Once I was able to see how much I had worked, from the tender age of three (when my father died suddenly from a burst brain aneurysm), psychically, psychically, mentally, and emotionally to help and heal those around me, including my own offspring, who I’d been raising by myself, I knew what my career path had to be. Despite all the obstacles, including UCLA deciding on graduation day of my Masters Program, that we were NOT going to be receiving licenses to practice what we has been learning, after all .. honestly, I think INCLUDING all the obstacles that were put there on Divine Purpose .. I have been able to practice in rather unconventional ways. I believe this to be the key to my deep success in facilitating people to actually, literally transform their lives. My work isn’t easy. When you come to me you are finally ready to make the changes you have been talking about for decades and years. And I know, through my esteemed guidance, exactly what it takes to do that.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I travel more internally than externally. My friend would have a marvel of a time in my Sky Lounge (the name of my home), reaping deeply nourishing energies, healings, delights, and vibes from the incredible mountain views to the delicious food and refreshing drinks I would provide for them. They would receive a Mah Jongg tile reading (I read the tiles like others read Tarot cards) whilst sitting on my soft lavender rug that would blow their heart and mind with its accuracy, as the mountain breezes filled their senses with the most incredible scents Earth has to offer. We would walk in those mountains .. breathing more .. and maybe even seeing a mountain lion (okay, hopefully not but it has happened)! I’d make my flash wokked (as in, cooked in a wok) salmon at home but we would probably go out for sushi once or twice .. also for Mexican food. And I’m sorry .. I know I talk a lot of high vibration stuff but I JUST discovered Voodoo Donuts and we would HAVE TO go there, too! Last but far from least, I would take them to my dance fitness classes .. kinda like Zumba but with a Hip Hop, rather than Latin, flare .. where we would have the blast we all have every Monday and Wednesday morning : ) #woo
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is to all the incredible teachers that made themselves available to me through their writings, recordings, and appearances. The list is long but of reverently specific note are: Caroline Myss, John Bradshaw, Brian Weiss, Todd Michael, Joe Dispenza, Paul Selig and his Guides, David Hawkins, Richard Bach, and Gary Zukov. My greatest supporter, though, through all time and eternity, has been my lovely and amazing daughter, Ayla. She is the one who finally got me extricated from a system that was slowly and certainly killing me .. she is the one that has always seen the truth .. especially truth of the heart. So much gratitude to everyone on this list 🙏🏽
