Meet Katie Lee, DDS | Dentist, author, and founder of The Collective Health Society

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Lee, DDS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Collective Health Society, we’re helping the community by addressing the critical gap in root-cause, comprehensive care, especially for women. Women often have to navigate a disconnected system that focuses on isolated symptoms instead of seeing the full picture of their health. The CHS approach combines holistic dental care with functional primary medicine to uncover and treat the underlying causes of health concerns. By doing this, we’re not just managing illness, we’re helping people feel truly well. I believe that a cohesive team of providers must work together to make patients optimally well.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I experienced a traumatic ATV accident at 14 that left my face shattered and required multiple surgeries to repair. The recovery taught me how crucial a healthy smile is – not just for confidence, but for overall physical and emotional health. Spending years rebuilding my jaw and mouth revealed the powerful connection between oral health and the body, inspiring me to pursue a career in dentistry.
Collective Health Society is a new, fully-integrated dental and medical center in Centennial. It is pioneering a new wave of healthcare, bringing together different modalities of medicine, including oral health, functional medicine, and alternative forms of healing. The dental suite focuses on treating the oral microbiome through advanced diagnostics and targeted treatments to improve patients’ systemic health, including fertility, heart health, sleep and breathing issues, and disease prevention.
I believe people are best empowered through education, so the space also includes the Collective Education Society – a state-of-the-art didactic training center that offers course topics on the treatment and prevention of disease for patients, functional medicine, as well as all aspects of dentistry for dental providers. My goal is to provide knowledge to patients and clinicians with the vision of creating a healthier society.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love our Rocky Mountains, so I would spend my week up there. In the summer, I’d head to the Vail Valley for mountain biking and hiking along stunning trails with rivers and waterfalls. In the winter, you’d find me skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling. The dining scene in Vail, Avon, and Edwards is fantastic – we especially love Sweet Basil, La Nonna, Mirabelle, cocktails at Root & Flower, and hot chocolate at the Four Seasons.
I also really enjoy the Telluride area. It’s breathtakingly beautiful with plenty of similar outdoor adventures. From there, you can hop over to Ouray (often called “Little Switzerland”). I love Gateway, Colorado – especially the Gateway Canyons Resort. It feels like you’re in Arizona, and it’s fun to hunt for dinosaur fossils or take a drive into nearby Utah.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s not nearly enough space to thank everyone who has helped me along the way, but I want to give special thanks to my husband, Dr. Doug Lee, who holds me up, pushes me to grow and expect more, and always supports my wildest ideas with love and enthusiasm. I’m also deeply grateful to Wendi Hill, who helped me see myself through others’ eyes, communicate with confidence, and organize my thoughts into clear, strategic plans to reach my goals.
