Meet Kelleigh White | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelleigh White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelleigh, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was to ultimately make a daily impact on my client’s lives by creating an atmosphere in their homes or businesses that will bring peace and clarity. I know that I am an atmosphere changer, meaning that I carry an anointing that can shift the mood of the room. Therefore, I wanted Orchid View Interiors to leave a lasting and peaceful imprint on my clients as I make their vision come to life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Orchid View Interiors, LLC was established in 2021 amid the pandemic. I had recently purchased my first home but was suffering through deep depression at the same time. One outlet I would use as I navigated through that season was decorating. I wanted to create a space in my home where when heightened moments would come, I had a place to remind myself that I was safe and there was peace. It wasn’t until friends and family would visit and be in awe of how well I designed my home, that I realized I may have stumbled upon something. That’s when my mentor Ticora Davis spoke life into my gift of decorating and designing, and Orchid View Interiors, LLC was created.

What sets my business apart from others? Well, a few things. First, I chose the name Orchid View because of the meaning of orchids. Orchids represent strength, elegance, endurance, and luxury. I wanted my business to represent the meaning of this beautiful flower, therefore Orchid View Interiors is dedicated to serving homes and businesses with the highest quality of luxury, elegance, and integrity delivered with pride, authenticity, and sincerity.

I’m able to be where I am today business-wise ultimately because of God, prayer, encouragement from family, friends, and my amazing mentor. I’ve had a great opportunity to learn the importance of strategizing how and where I want my business to be in the next 2-4 years. Developing a business strategy wasn’t always as easy, and there were many hard lessons I needed to learn which only came from trial and error. Yet through it all, I’ve learned to give myself grace and intentionally change my perspective to be positive. After all, your best lessons are learned from failures.

What I would want the world to know about my brand and story is that in your toughest experience, your greatest gift can be birthed. Through my experience, I realized the importance of desiring a place to feel safe and be yourself again, so from that
I make sure Orchid View Interiors focuses on creating peaceful atmospheres one room at a time, by exceeding the expectations of our customers by bringing their visions to life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start the week off by taking my friend to one of my favorite soul food places, Mr. Charles chicken and Fish. They give you so much food and the leftovers are just as good the next day. The main place I’d take her to have a great time is “Mad Miles” run club. It’s a club for anyone who has a love for running and working out. Every Tuesday hundreds of people gather to run, laugh, and simply enjoy eachother’s company. They end the night with music and line dancing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my mentor Ticora Davis. She is an amazing trademark attorney and owner of The Creator’s Law Firm. She has the gift of propelling entrepreneurs forward through wisdom and guidance.
