We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly/Tracy Glaser/Stanfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly/Tracy, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
For us, one of the single most important decisions we made that contributed to our success was setting clear goals and timelines, and then committing to them. Outlining our goals made our vision tangible, obtainable, and real. By defining our goals we are able to focus our efforts and make clear, informed decisions.

In addition to goal orientation, we developed a growth mindset and do not view obstacles as roadblocks, but as learning opportunities. We embrace challenges and look for creative, fun solutions to difficult situations.

What should our readers know about your business?
For us, at Golden Glow Mobile Tanning we like to think of our business as a self- care practice. We want to provide an experience that leaves our clients feeling confident, bold, and renewed. We take extra steps to educate our clientele about our services, as well as provide them with a service that makes them feel pampered and special. We are very excited to share our knowledge of the beauty industry with the public, we have 50 years of combined customer service experience, giving us the tools to make every experience a memorable one.

Growing a business is never an easy journey, however this is not our first endeavor. We have learned a great deal running our first business back in 2016, and we have expanded on the business models and principles we have learned along the way. We often face challenges, although we view these challenges as learning opportunities opposed to setbacks.

Our biggest take-away regarding being business owners is that we must embrace change. We must constantly learn and grow. There are always new scenarios, and these scenarios provide grounds for a learning opportunity. We believe it is very important to have a mindset that encourages positive thinking when faced with challenges.

As entrepreneurs, we are committed to the success and growth of our business. We are constantly exploring new ways to educate ourselves and our clientele, while never compromising our commitment to quality. We want to leave our clients feeling like they received a memorable service and a sense of confidence, they may have not felt otherwise. We also strive to provide a level of convenience that traditional tanning salons do not offer, therefore we decided to go mobile. Our passion and expertise have made Golden Glow Mobile Tan LLC, stand in a league of its own, making this mobile tanning company the go-to option for anyone who wants to look and feel their glowing best!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We need to start out by saying that Colorado Springs is one of the most beautiful places to visit. It would be very important for us to take our friend exploring in nature. We would definitely need to check out some of our favorite breakfast spots such as Urban Egg or Snooze. We would do a lot of hiking through Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, and Cheyenne Canyon. We may visit one of the cities many breweries for an after hike beverage. Cogstone and Bristol breweries are some of this city’s most reputable brew spots with a variety of unique beverages. We would take our friend to Old Colorado City and Manitou for some eclectic shopping and quaint lunch places. Dinner spots would include The Rabbit Hole, Ambli Global Cuisine, or The Pepper Tree. There are plenty of nightlife activities such as comedy shows, concerts, or just a night on the town. If your preferred night activity is something a little more low key, there are several martini bars located on the downtown strip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to give a shout out to our family and friends that have created a strong supportive network for our business. Without their encouragement, advice, and willingness to help, this would not be possible for us.

We specifically would like to thank our family friend, Bryan. He has been a role model, especially in terms of going after personal goals. Bryan continues to show us the importance of never backing down from the challenges that come along with entrepreneurship. Bryan lives by the motto that “if you can dream it, you can build it.” This way of thinking has always stuck with our family, and we continue to live by this example.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all our loyal clientele, and all the platforms that have helped us to spread the word, including this Shoutout series. We are truly grateful to everyone that has been a part of our journey.
